"She's very tenacious. I said to Celine that if they come at her, don't give up because in four or five of her races she won she got passed in the straight and came back and won.

"She's got a lot of fight and if you've got that in a filly or a mare, normally they go quite good."

Likes the distance: "She can get over a little bit further as well. She's won over 1400 (metres) and we brought her up here as this race was a good race for her leading into the Grafton carnival so we brought her up here to start her after two trials.

Last prep: "She started off ordinary and we just had a little problem with her but by the end of her preparation she was fine and we put her away to get her ready for the Grafton carnival with the backend of this carnival in mind for a lesser race.

Winning Jockey: Celine Gaudray

"Things went our way and I wanted to give her a conservative run being first-up and that's what we got with good speed. She handled it really well.

"Once I pushed that button she was really strong to the line.

"She gave me a really nice feel and has a good turn-of-foot so I can't see why she can't be competitive there (at Grafton)."
