"You've got no idea of the emotions I'm feeling at the moment. It's the ride of a lifetime with a mare like her. We paid nothing for her, she's been all up and down the east coast for us and performed at the top level in every race she competed in.

"Came back here and the Yoshida conglomerate liked her and wanted to buy her. So, reluctantly, we accepted their offer. I said to all the owner's 'she's at the right age, she's been a wonderful mare, she's had a fantastic career'.

"I don't know what to say. I'm so overwhelmed at the moment because so much goes into these horses, to mold them and develop them.

"All the staff, even my farrier this morning, he had to come in and touch her shoes up. It's a team effort.

She's a wonderful mare, she's going to have a great life as a broodmare with the top stallions and studs all over the world."

Confidence beforehand: "I knew whatever won the race today would have to be good to beat her because she improved out of sight from the Stradbroke.

"She was basically pulled up in the Kingsford-Smith when she pulled a shoe, so she missed a very crucial run there and she was only half fit going into the Stradbroke, she still ran fourth.

"I watched her work here on Tuesday morning and I went home and said 'I don't care what's in the race, they'd want to be good to beat her on Saturday."

On the ride: "He rode her absolutely sensational. I didn't give him any instructions beforehand, I said 'mate, just ride it like another normal race, don't do anything special, just ride as you normally would and she'll do the rest for you."

Winning Jockey: Kyle Wilson-Taylor

"I can't believe it. I'm on top of the world. I just can't believe it.

Hard worker: "It just goes to show that if you want something in life and put in the hard work you can achieve it.

"I can't thank Chris and the connections enough. This is the greatest moment of my life so far."

On the run: "I came across, I wasn't taking any prisoners, and I was calling to get in and I got in. Everyone was forgetting this mare. She's so tough and I knew if she had a restful run early she was going to be there late, and she was."

Beaten Jockeys:

Jaden Lloyd (Electric Girl): "Our plan wasn't to lead and got a nice run behind them. She doesn't like the soft ground and on the inside it is quite chopped up and we didn't really have an option but to go to the inside. Much better on top of the ground."

Kerrin McEvoy (Kiku): "She ran ok. We were even paced behind a medium speed. Needed to get clear a bit earlier but she was even paced the last bit."

Billy Egan (Foxy Frida): "Super run. Probably just a bit short for her over this trip but I reckon if she was first-up it would be a pretty good race for her."

Damien Thornton (Chain Of Lightning): "She ran well. Probably just jumped a bit too quick for where we wanted to be and let it take us into the straight but she ran well."

Tim Clark (Roots): "She was great. She had a lovely run just off the speed in a three-wide position and was able to move into the race when she liked. She put up a brave performance."

Larry Cassidy (Mirra Vision): "Had to do it a bit tough from a wide draw. I ended up three-deep just abc from the leaders but she traveled well to the turn but now I think she goes off to be a mum."

Ben Thompson (Chaillot): "Desperately unlucky. If we got into the race a bit earlier she was probably the winner.

James Orman (Lady Of Honour): "I thought we ran ok. Boxed on well. Just got outclassed late."

Celine Gaudray (Excelida): "A really honest run from this horse. We had cover the entire trip but once she reached her top she sustained that run."

Andrew Mallyon (Charmmebaby): "She didn't seem particularly interested today. She might be at the crossroads."

Jake Bayliss (She's All Class): "She stepped slowly and I ended up a bit further back that I wanted to but she hugged the rails and when we needed a punch I didn't have it."

Mark Du Plessis (Tycoon Evie): "Got a lovely run behind Roots but in the straight just didn't really do much."

John Allen (Ruthless Dame): "We probably covered plenty of ground. Didn't go as quick as I thought they might so I didn't get to slot in handy. I thought in the straight we were going to run into the race and she probably peaked on her run late."

Tyler Schiller (Opal Ridge): "She was terrific. Probably got bottled up and didn't get enough room but I thought being beaten a length-and-a-half in Group One, she's improved a lot."

Josh Parr (Revolutionary Miss): "Nice sound effort from her. Typical Queensland speed there and that paid to a disadvantage for us."
