When Fulton Street retired there was never any doubt the much loved journeyman would end up under the care of apprentice jockey Caitlyn Munro.

She shared her first race ride with the eight-year-old gelding and has known him since he was a young buck.

"What isn't there to love," gushed Caitlyn Munro.

"Kind of everything really, I mean he's been quite a special horse with the family having shares in him.

"He's been a big part of my career, and my time with David. He's always been there since I've been working with him. He's just the best horse really."

After racing right across the country including wins in Broken Hill, Port Augusta, Kangaroo Island, Penola and even Streaky Bay, Fulton Street will live out his years at 'David Jolly's Living Legends' – a paddock not far from the trainer's Goolwa base.

"It looks like he's enjoying it pretty well. He likes to grow his coat and get nice and fat and he's going to have a few months of enjoying paddock life before I do something with him," said Caitlyn.

"He's not quite the boss. We've got Andre at the back there he's bossing him around a little bit but that's alright.

"We've got Whipped Gravy and Rory, they were David's ex-racehorses as well. We kind of call it the David Jolly's Living Legends so it's a bit of a thing," laughed Caitlyn.

"We agist here. It's about 10-15 acres just outside of Goolwa so it's just a place that we found that's just convenient really, just a good spelling paddock, and we'll probably set up a space out the back when we want to bring him into work.

"I'll probably just do a bit of jumping and just a bit of fun stuff really. I'm a bit limited with time with my racing and that. I think Fulton will just have fun getting out and doing what we can," she said.
