RACE 1 - 12:17PM The Fotobase Group Handicap (1550 METRES)

Prince Jofra was good first-up for Travis Doudle when narrowly beaten by El Cordobes last week. He draws a nice gate and looks the horse to beat. AMMO AMOR came from off the speed for a smart win last time beating Victory Bandit and he draws ideally to be in the finish again. LORD LUKER was a good winner here three starts back and was another close up in the El Cordobes race last week. I'M KENNY comes off a win here beating Red Roof and must be respected.

RACE 2 - 12:52PM In Memory of Don Koch Three-Year-Old Maiden Plate (1000 METRES)

Grint had market support and was good on debut running 2nd behind Esecutore at Murray Bridge. That's proven an OK form race and he looks hard to beat. THE GOLDEN FIST is on debut for the Richard and Chantelle Jolly stable and defeated subsequent winner Huggle Time in a recent trial. He draws perfectly and looks a big danger. MOREDREAM was placed behind Jewel Bay here back in March before running 6th in the Breeders' Stakes. He can figure. CELEBRATION is in the Kennewell/Yoemans stable and must be respected. NICISH debuts for the Stokes stable and has trialled OK. HELLS EMPIRE is in the Kavanagh stable and has a wide gate to overcome on debut. GILDED AGE debuts for the Blanch stable and has jumped out OK.

RACE 3 - 1:27PM Spring Racing Carnival at Morphettville - (Oct. 14th - Nov 11th) Handicap (1000 METRES)

Jean Valjean was an impressive winner first-up here coming from a long way back before he had excuses before getting through the line strongly down the Flemington straight. He's been freshened and should take some beating Victorian. PORT ALBERT resumes here and has a good record. He was runner-up behind Katsu before a break. He should be handy to the speed and take some running down. Fellow Victorian PRANCING QUEEN comes off a Sandown win and looks nicely placed here in a race like this. DEEP BLAST maps well from a good gate and is a last-start Swan Hill winner. ORACLE SON has a good record and comes in fresh since a Murray Bridge win. Likewise ALPHA FLIGHT is another who hasn't done a lot wrong. CALLA DREAM resumes and her best would be in the finish.

RACE 4 - 2:02PM Happy Retirement Leon Macdonald Handicap (1950 METRES)

Insulation is lightly raced having won two of four and comes off a Sale win as a $1.75 favourite. He's a progressive horse and should take some beating here. The danger is THE NEPHEW was well ridden to score on the outer track last week in what was a drop in grade. He draws a sticky gate and has plenty of weight. Another Victorian MARCHONS ENSEMBLE comes off a Sandown win and looks suited here from a middle gate. BELMONT AVENUE won well two starts back before disappointing last time but is capable of improving as can ICHIBANSAN who is fitter for two runs back.

RACE 5 - 2:37PM Furphy Handicap (1250 METRES)

Brave Star was runner-up at Sandown two starts back before an OK run there last time. He looks nicely placed in a race like this from the middle gate with Jake Toeroek riding. FALAISE is a nice horse freshened and more than capable of running a big race. He's winner his only start here. OUT OF AFLICA finished off strongly behind Midnight Rush at Gawler and could be ready to peak in a race like this. STORM HUNTER was a good winner here two starts back and should be in the mix. DEEVINE was a winner her three starts back.

RACE 6 - 3:12PM Thomas Farms Handicap (1000 METRES)

Etienne brings some good Victorian form here running 2nd at Wangaratta before winning nicely there last time. He draws a nice gate and gets Todd Pannell. NOSTRYIA resumed in the Lightning before dropping in class and running 2nd behind Lonrodex on the outer track last week. She should again be in the mix. CLARENCE comes off a good maiden winner beating Soames, who has won since. He's a progressive horse. Likewise TRES BELLE comes out a handy for race winning a Gawler maiden.  SEND IT got a long way back last time and has been around the mark. ROMAN LAW worked home well in the Lonrodex race and should be thereabouts. TICKETY BOOM is another who can improve here with any luck.

RACE 7 - 3:52PM Thanks and Happy Retirement Pam Macdonald Handicap (1250 METRES)

Alpine Flyer looked very good first-up from a spell winning on her home deck at Murray Bridge when she came from last to run past Our Shining Star. She'll get a good run from the inside gate and looks hard to beat again despite the step up in class. BELLINGER looks the danger he was too good for Chicago Storm here back in March before running down the track at Flemington and his fresh form is good enough for a race like this. THE GAUCH draws a middle gate and gets Todd Pannell. He has a good fresh record and does appreciate some give in the ground. LEFT HAND MAN won well first-up from a spell beating IMPOSSIBLE ACTION and COOL MAGNUM at Murray Bridge. SPARKUP has been around the mark.

RACE 8 - 4:27PM Leon Macdonald Stakes (1400 METRES)

See You In Heaven is a good mare who was impressive first-up wining the Behemoth Stakes when she covered ground and was too smart for a host of these rivals. She draws out but is weighted to be winning again. SEONEE looks the danger coming off three consecutive wins, her past couple at Flemington and will get every chance from the good barrier. VALDATED is a winner and was too strong for Pontedera at Murray Bridge last time. PUDDING has a good record and is a two time winner first-up. PIPPALI was beaten 2.75 lengths behind Edison at Flemington last time and draws a middle gate. SAVATOXL was good running 2nd in the Behemoth Stakes and is a winner his only start here. MONTIGN has a good record and can run a cheeky race at odds. IRONCLAD will appreciate the extra trip.

RACE 9 - 5:00PM SkyCity Handicap (1400 METRES)

Wide open race to end the day. Victorian Miss Bariloche was placed twice before scoring a dominant win at Casterton last time. The wide draw hasn't helped her chances, but she can give this a shake at odds. KATIM'S CLUB is racing in good form coming off two provincial wins but draws a sticky gate. MR MARATHON MAN has a good record around here and comes out of the Chicago Storm race last week. INFINITE MATRIX has been placed at three of his past five and was 4th here behind Zarace in June. KAYSERI just missed behind Headphones at Murray Bridge last time and should be in the mix again. CHAMBERS BAY can run well here and was a winner four starts back. SPITFIRE SUN has been good winning his past couple and must be respected.
