Kelsey Hannan followed a riding treble at her first Adelaide metropolitan meeting on the Parks last week with a double aboard the Gordon Richards and Damien Moyle trained Flight Deck before combining with the John Macmillan-trained Texan Windstorm later in the day.

"I'm really enjoying myself,'' Hannan, who has recorded six wins from 15 rides on SA soil, said post-race.

Premiership winning jockey Jake Toeroek shared riding honours with Hannan scoring aboard Keep Reading for Richard and Chantelle Jolly as well as Bulls On Parade who continued Michael Hickmott's impressive start to the new season and landed some serious bets to score a smart win against the odds on debut.

Hickmott said he was nervous on the home turn when the horse had it all in front of him before his ability saw him charge over the top of rivals to score.

"I bred this horse, he's one of the first ones I had on our farm,'' Hickmott said.

"I've been attached to him, he's been a work in progress, he was sold to Hong Kong, the money didn't come, I'd already spent the money that's the worst part.

"He's a really nice horse, he shouldn't have been able to win today, he's a credit to my entire team, he hasn't been a push button horse.

"I was nervous on the corner, I declared him to a few people,'' he said.

THERE was a big result for SA more than 1170kms away in outback Queensland when dual-state horseman Phillip Stokes claimed the $50,000 Birdsville Cup with Neodium.

Neodium scored a two length win with Emily Finnegan in the saddle who made the trip north to ride.

Strathalbyn horseman Kym Healy also enjoying Birdsville success with Equal Balance winning earlier in the day.

Meanwhile, Oakbank trainer Ali Brook had her first training success in her own right at Ballarat last Sunday with What Revolution breaking his maiden over the jumps winning by five lengths with Ross O'Sullivan in the saddle.
