Winning Trainer: Mick Price & Michael Kent Jnr (Kent Jnr speaking)
How the race unfolded: "We had an awkward draw so we gave Damian (Lane) an open book and she began very well so he was positive and rode her like the best horse in the race. I thought it was a brilliant win to sit three deep, no cover and make a sustained run."
On the filly: "She's got a turn of foot, she can sustain her run, she's got stamina so she's got a lot of class."
"She can sit handy, she's versatile so a lot of good attributes to be a Group One filly hopefully so bring on the Golden Rose."
Her Spring: "We've got two weeks now to the Golden Rose, we'll have a left eye on the Run To The Rose in Sydney today, there's some nice colts there. I'm just rapt, the owners are here today, Heath Newton and Anthony Roberts and of course Seamus Mills… they've come down to Sydney to watch her and to win like that is so exciting for them."
Big price tag: "We're very very lucky to train for Seamus and his clients, he's got a great system, he buys a select number of fillies every year, big pedigrees, if they don't make the racetrack they'll be nice broodmares and she's one out of the box I think. While she cost a lot of money, this is what it's all about, finding Group One fillies."
Impressive traits: "I think she just does everything easily, what I've been most impressed about is how she's improved mentally, she was a very fiery filly last time around, today she didn't turn a hair, same as last start and that will take her to the next level. It's our job as trainers to win a Group One and hopefully we can, it's a big task but I think she's the right horse to do it."
Winning Jockey: Damian Lane
Happy to sit wide: "I thought I wouldn't overcomplicate things, just be positive and keep her in the clear and she'll do the rest and that she did."
"I was jogging in the run, in Victoria we pot three-deep with no cover a lot and it's a very underrated position. You can have your fancies sitting inside of you sometimes and control when they move and I was controlled when I could move. Sometimes it can work in your favour which it did today, it helps when you're on the best horse in the race but she put them away nicely."
Confident in run: "She actually floated a little bit, I don't think she was fully extended today, last start when she really had to knuckle down she did, I think she had a bit in reserve today. Quality filly who's going the right way about things."
