Amelia’s Jewel’s wide barrier has not dented the trademark confidence of trainer, Simon Miller.

In her interstate debut, Perth's gun mare has drawn the extreme outside gate in Saturday's Group 2 Let's Elope Stakes (1400m) at Flemington.

Amelia's Jewel drew gate 15, but will come out of gate 14 following the scratching of Tajneed.

Despite the wide draw for his four-year-old, Simon Miller is unfazed and doesn't subscribe that it impacts her chances of winning first up in Melbourne.

"I'm a Victorian and they have given me the visitors draw," Miller quipped to The Races WA.

"I was hoping they may have refreshed the computer or restarted the draw again.

"In all seriousness she has copped wide barrier draws throughout most of her career and still won.

"It is what it is and the long Flemington straight will give her time to wind up.

"She'll drift back and then Frosty (Damian Lane) can let her rip."

Amelia's Jewel stepped from barrier 15 to win Perth's richest two-year-old race: the Karrakatta Plate (1200m) in 2022, storming home from near last under jockey, Pat Carbery.

Six months ago in the inaugural The Quokka (1200m), she produced a similar run when finishing a short half-head second to Overpass when negotiating barrier 14 of 14.

Punters are rock solid that Amelia's Jewel will make a dream start in Melbourne. The daughter of Siyouni heads TABtouch betting at $1.85.

Unbeaten in three first up attempts, Amelia's Jewel is the only runner under double figure odds in the Let's Elope Stakes.

Meanwhile ace jockey Jamie Kah has been booked to ride the Dan Morton-trained Alaskan God in next Saturday's Group 3 Naturalism Stakes (2000m) at Caulfield.

Morton said he was happy with Alaskan God's first Melbourne go in last week's Feehan Stakes (1600m) when fifth behind Pinstriped.
