Winning Trainer: Danny O'Brien (stable rep Jack Howard speaking)
Consistent horse: "Really great ride from Blake (Shinn) first of all, he's a really consistent gelding now, that's his 14th career start and he's run in the top four in 13 of his 14 runs, the only time he hadn't run top four was as a three-year-old over 2000 metres at the back end of that season here at The Valley."
Progressed nicely: "We couldn't be more pleased with his first up run, Blake gave him a really good run, probably said that he got to the front too soon, he's worked really well since and got an absolute peach tonight."
Getting better: "He has. Throughout jis whole career he's just continued to improve every time we bring hkm back to the races, he's just learning that little bit more each time, as I said he's ultra consistent, and he loves these 1500 to mile trips so I'll leave the plan up to Danny but I daresay we'll get him home, give him a couple of weeks and seeing as he likes to get around here we might be back for another couple of Friday nights."
Winning Jockey: Blake Shinn
On the horse: "He's a really consistent horse this guy, the race set up nicely, they went quick. I learnt a lot from riding him the other day, I pushed the button a bit early when he was going to win, I think he only possesses a 250 (metre) max sprint and then he levels out so it worked out good that Mark Zahra gave me a nice cart into the race and I was within range around the turn. I knew he'd be strong late, the horse deserves it. Danny's done a great job with him, well done to all the owners, it's a great thrill."
Riding Rothfire in the Moir: "Rothfire, he always puts his hand up whenever he runs, he'll make his presence felt, he'll give Imperatriz another good test tonight. Barrier one may pose a little bit of a concern but I'm not trying to think too much about that. We'll just ride the way as we see and if he gets the breaks and has every opportunity, he'll be thereabouts at the finish."
