Danish Fortune landed the first punch on the nose of favourite punters on TAB Finals Day when he upstaged his more fancied rivals with a last stride win in the Happy Trails Series Final to give Mcleod the biggest win of his training career.

The stable almost completed a two punch knockout when Zoffala was narrowly beaten behind Manzala in the Skybeau Series Final in the following race and McLeod said the success came at an opportune time.

"That was excellent,'' McLeod said.

"We've had a few people interested in getting involved in ownership and those results have pushed them along which is great.

"We've got a two-year-old coming through that is showing a bit. We've had success with the tried horses so it would be good to get a young horse up and rolling now as well,'' he said.

McLeod said he was hoping the rain continues in Melbourne in the lead-up to Saturday.

"If they get some of the weather that we've got over the past few days then we'll go,'' McLeod said.

"He's not weighted the greatest, but it's a small field and he'd be guaranteed prizemoney,'' he said.

Zoffala will also join his stablemate in Melbourne at Moonee Valley on Friday night.

"He drops significantly in grade, and we'll claim with him,'' McLeod said.

"The vet has been over both this morning and they were both in great order, they did some slow work and wanted to do more,'' he said.
