Winning Trainer: Henry Dwyer
Work to do after Silver Bowl: "He had been in work a long time and we put it down to an end of prep run. He was too keen in the run and he overdid it and didn't get the mile. We gave him a good break. He's always been a nice horse and the way it worked out with the wet track and the scratchings, it worked for us."
What does summer look like: "There's a love lovely down at Geelong at that new meeting they've got in the first week of January (6th). There's a benchmark 84 over 1400 metres. I think he's a dead-set 1400-metre horse. We tried to stretch him out because all these Brungle horses, they all stay, except him."
Winning Jockey: Will Price
In the run: "I was happy to ride him where we landed, whether that was back a bit further or wherever he wanted to be. He jumped so cleanly and put himself there straight away. As soon as we got there, he was head down, just working nicely within himself. He couldn't have travelled any better into the straight and I was always confident the whole way."
Get further than 1400m: "Henry thinks he could be just 1400 metres, but he was very strong all the way through and through the line and the 1400 metres and the wet tracks seem to be suiting."
