3 minute read

Canberra trainer Keith Dyden is in for a big day at Moruya on Sunday with a number of leading chances set to go around.

Canberra trainer Keith Dryden is in for a big day at on Sunday with a number of leading chances set to go around.

Dyyden has last start impressive winner Incentive ready to contest to the Dalmeny IGA and Liquor Narooma Town Plate (1010m).

"He couldn't have done more than he did the other day," said Dryden.

"He went to the front and just kept going. I loved the way he attacked the line."

Incentive had won a barrier trial before his resuming effort, and he looked good scoring at the Sapphire Coast prior to having a break.

"He's a progressive horse and he should go well again on Sunday," said Dryden.

While Incentive looks hard to hold out, Dryden will also have a number of other leading chances including Stratum Pride  in the Advanced Modular Railings Narooma Cup (1300m), and Breakaway Week in the Harcourts Batemans Bay Christmas Cup Benchmark 58 Handicap (1425m).

"Stratum Pride is probably up a bit in class but is eveyting goes well a forward showing should be on the cards," said Dryden.

"She's a handy mare at her best and she wasn't beaten far the other day. I'd like to think she can measure up pretty well."

Dryden said he is looking forward to Breakaway Week contesting its event.

"She's in a race that suits," said Dryden. "If she can jump well and maintain her position then she will be hard to beat."

The family training combination of Barbara Joseph and sons Paul and Matt Jones also have a number of top chances contesting the Moruya meeting.

One Aye  is running in the Narooma Cup and looks very hard to beat. Two Aye is a half-sister to One Aye and will contest the Cleanaway Country Boosted Class 2 Handicap (1650m).

The Joseph and Jones stable look to play a big hand at Moruya with plenty of good chances.

Merc will contest the Narooma Town Plate and hit the line well when resuming, while Napoleon Solo is resuming from a spell in the event for trainer Natalie Jarvis and warrants plenty of respect.
