RACE 1 - 12:27PM SkyCity Two-Year-Old Plate (1050 METRES)

Ad Astra is on debut for the Michael Hickmott stable and was 2nd behind Kuroyanagi in a Murray Bridge trial. She looks an above average filly who should give this a shake. Stablemate DYER has jumped out OK but draws out. DUCHESS OF SUSSEX looked good winning a recent Morphettville jump out and the stable have a great record with their horses on debut. DARLINC has been placed at her past couple and should run well. ARIANNA has jumped out OK.

SELECTIONS: 6 AD ASTRA, 8 Duchess Of Sussex, 5 Darlinc, 7 Arianna PLAY: Backing AD ASTRA.

RACE 2 - 1:02PM TAB Adelaide Cup Day - Monday March 11th Handicap (2500 METRES)

Piercing Sky has won his past couple at Seymour and Mornington, he's lightly raced but showing promise and should take beating from a good barrier. SANDASTAN is flying and led throughout for a soft win at Murray Bridge midweek, he's been well found in betting but this is a significant class rise. IRISH BUTTERFLY is a handy stayer who draws a middle gate and was OK beaten 4 lengths behind One Last Kiss last time at Flemington. CANFORD was back to winning form beating Wisaka last time. WHEELS can run well.

SELECTIONS: 6 PIERCING SKY, 8 Sandastan, 2 Irish Butterfly, 3 Canford PLAY: Keen on PIERCING SKY.

RACE 3 - 1:37PM Petaluma Handicap (1200 METRES)

Outsider is a former NSW mare who comes to SA with a win and five placings from her nine starts. She has trialled up well winning her latest at Oakbank, has been solid since markets opened and is sure to give a race like this a shake. IRONEDGE is a former Darwin galloper who was a winner there in August, He draws a nice gate and is sure to take some beating here. Stablemate WOLFBURN is another former NT galloper who draws a sticky gate but gets some weight relief. He draws the inside and should be right in the mix. MIDNIGHT RUSH was good first-up from a spell when 3rd behind Costless. He maps to get a good run.

RACE 4 - 2:12PM The Junction Handicap (1506 METRES)

Marimenko has been good in two runs in SA for the Jolly stable running 2nd behind I'm A Dexstar last time. He draws out but looks hard to beat. CRIMSON VINE trialled up well before her very smart return when she bolted in by 4 lengths at Murray Bridge beating Holmes. GRINZINGER BISHOP

resumes here and was a Darwin winner in July. MYRTLE CREEK was runner-up at consecutive starts before getting home well beaten 2.7 lengths behind Just Like Lisa, RABTAT was down the track in the same race.

RACE 5 - 2:47PM The Fotobase Group Handicap (1600 METRES)

Russian Dancer led throughout for a 3 length win here last time beating Thrill Kill and looks perfectly placed from the inside draw. RIVERPLATE comes out of some stronger Victorian form chasing home Fortunate Kiss at Caulfield last time when he had some solid market support. He maps well from the middle gate. POOL PONY is chasing four straight wins and was too good for MAGNETIC EDGE at Gawler, who has won again since. CULLEN SKINK was chasing four wins in succession when he raced keenly behind the speed and struggled to finish off over the 2112m last time. He draws awkwardly but should run well. I'M A DEXTAR was a Port Lincoln winner first up before he was well backed to beat Marimenko here last time. AITCH D'AMICO has been racing well.

RACE 6 - 3:22PM Quayclean Handicap (1100 METRES)

Ode To Joy is a Victorian who recorded consecutive wins at Kilmore and Mornington before she was beaten 4.4 lengths behind Amigo at Sandown last time. She has the inside gate and is sure to take some beating here. RUSHAWAY LAD looked desperately unlucky when held-up badly in the straight when 3.3 lengths 8th behind Storm Voyager last time. The blinkers stay on and he should give this a shake. DESERT DANCING looked very good first-up from a spell when a 3.5 length winner over Flyin' For Us at Murray Bridge. She draws a gate and can go on with it. DUNMAGHLAS has been in the money at all three runs here and comes off a good effort when 3rd behind Ballon D'Or here. He draws out but should give this a shake. MISLUDI was a $2.70 fav in the same race and maps well from a good gate. STORM VOYAGER broke through for a deserving win last time out beating WILLASTON who has been placed at his past three winning here.

RACE 7 - 3:57PM JRA Plate (2006 METRES)

Second To Nun is chasing five wins in succession after her Strathalbyn Cup win last Friday. She draws a perfect gate again and is impossible to knock. ARUGUAMAM was sent out favourite when narrowly beaten by last year's Adelaide Cup runner-up Aurora's Symphony and Herman Hesse, who has won since at Flemington last time. She'll roll forward and give a bold sight again. TYCOON BEC is a staying mare with upside and was a Sandown winner last time out and is sure to give this a shake. Stablemate LET FLY was a Moonee Valley winner three starts back and must be respected. THE MAP resumes, she's a good staying mare who is going to need a run resuming at this distance and her two

trials ahead of her return to racing have been very good. Likewise HASTA LA WAR is a good stayer on his day, he's resuming from the spring and will no doubt take plenty out of this.

RACE 8 - 4:37PM Congrats Mandy & Peter 2024 Handicap (1100 METRES)

La Defense is a promising horse is chasing five wins in succession and hasn't been seen since December when a Murray Bridge winner beating Costless. He draws a nice gate and should take some beating despite the rise in class. PEGASI was 3rd in the Wolflands race before running 4th in the Durbridge Stakes behind Aitch Two Oh and draws the inside. PICARGO was solid behind Aitch Two Oh in the Durbridge Stakes last time. He has plenty of weight but must be respected. MANHATTEN TIMES was solid when 2.3 lengths 5th in the same race. LARIMER STREET made some ground first-up from a spell and has a good second-up record. CELSIUS STAR comes off a Gawler win beating Portation but draws a sticky gate. ASTON RAPOVA was OK in the same race beaten 3 lengths. JACKS ON ICE has been solid placed at his past three the latest behind Rockstar Meggsy at Gawler and he can run well.

SELECTIONS: 11 LA DEFENSE, 7 Pegasi, 2 Picargo, 3 Manhatten Times PLAY: Backing LA DEFENSE.

RACE 9 - 5:18PM Grand Syndicates Handicap (1800 METRES)

Confrontational is another Victorian who was placed at Moonee Valley last time out. CYCLONE HARMONY has been placed at three of his past four in Victoria and draws a nice barrier. WILD WILLY comes off a good effort when 2nd behind Second To Nun at Gawler and maps well from a good barrier. SPEAKEASY was well beaten behind Second To Nun at her local debut before a good effort when she was narrowly beaten by Dual Fuel on the Parks last week.

SELECTIONS: 3 CONFRONTATIONAL, 6 Cyclone Harmony, 2 Wild Willy, 12 Speakeasy PLAY: Something on PERFECT END in a tricky end to the quaddie.
