Winning Trainer: Matthew Enright
During the run: "I thought Peter Moody's horse was going twelve, fourteen the furlong and I thought that suits me, he's not really a sit and sprint horse, he likes a genuine tempo, I was happy where we were, I didn't give Blake any instructions, you don't have to, I just said you dictate what goes on mate, it was a beautiful ride, I was surprised he was that far back but he's the master."
Possible Adelaide Cup tilt: "I think this is run number nine, I said to Blake he's giving no signs to me that he's training off, obviously I've got a water walker at Bendigo where I operate and he goes on there for four days after each run and I don't do nothing with him, I just regenerate him, he seems to be coping so we might hopefully sneak to Adelaide for the Adelaide Cup, I think it's probably a year for a horse like him, there doesn't seem to be a lot of high class horses around so he will sneak in there on the minimum I would presume so it's certainly an option for him."
"If he (Shinn) can ride the weight, he can bloody ride him!"
Winning Jockey: Blake Shinn
How the race unfolded: "We just rode him nice and patiently, the speed was pretty quick for a staying race, I didn't envisage being that far back but he was nice and relaxed, we got on the back of the right horse which was Michael Dee, and he allowed me to track into the race and manoeuvre at the right time and he was strong. He's been racing in good form, Matthew's done a great job with him, kept him up a long time and he's a happy horse, congratulations to Matthew."
Last ride for Matthew: "Before the race he said to me my last ride for him was in 2005 so it was a long time ago so it's nice to have another ride for him and get the job done."
