The $175k Listed Abell Stakes will headline the program and it looks a very open affair.

The track is currently rated a good 4 and the rail will be out 4m for the entire circuit.

Our Ladbrokes preview can be found below.

RACE 1 - 6:15PM: HAPPY 70THPAUL SINCLAIR HANDICAP 2YO (1200 METRES)

Eject had good support on debut after some handy jump out performances.

Kicking off his career in the Listed Talindert Stakes a fortnight ago, the son of Street Boss was slow away and just looked lost up to Flemington straight.

Whilst he never looked a winning chance, his final 150m was very pleasing as he really started to pick up nicely.

He will have taken plenty of benefit from the experience and should find this easier.

Damian Lane takes the mount for Anthony and Sam Freedman and the Godolphin galloper has drawn to get the gun run from gate two.

RACE 2 - 6:45PM: LADBROKES 55 SECOND CHALLENGE HEAT 14 BM64 (955 METRES)

I Miss Margie was dominant when winning over 1000m at Sale two starts back.

She then came here and from the outside gate worked hard in the early part to cross and take up the running and it just tolled late.

The daughter of Deep Field is yet to be tested over the 955m but on her recent run, it certainly looks ideal.

Barrier four should see her bounce out and settle on speed without doing any extra work and Luke Currie, who has been onboard for both of her wins, stays in the saddle.

RACE 3 - 7:15PM: THE RANVET MIDDLE DISTANCE SERIES HEAT 7 BM70 F&M (2040 METRES)

Whakamana is a smart mare on her day and she comes here off a solid last start effort.

After settling towards the rear, she found herself with no room in the early part of the straight but charged through along the rail over the final 200m to grab second, beaten only half a length.

The start prior, she looked a touch disappointing on face value but was coming off a five week freshen up.

She strips fitter for the two recent runs and looks ready to peak.

The Sacred Falls mare did perform well in stronger company at her only appearance here and from barrier two she'll be afforded every chance.

John Allen retains the ride for Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young.

RACE 4 - 7:45PM: THE OPUS GROUP MIDDLE DISTANCE SERIES HEAT 6 BM70 (2040 METRES)

Cours Vite had no luck at all over this course and distance last start.

Just as he started to pick up ground turning into the straight, the former Kiwi found himself with nowhere to go.

Fitter for the three runs this campaign he looks ready to peak and I think the 20240m looks ideal for this son of Almanzor.

Damian Lane goes onboard for the first time and he should enjoy a trouble free run from gate 8.

RACE 5 - 8:15PM: PJA ACCOUNTANTS 7 BUSINESS ADVISORS HANDICAP BM64 (1600 METRES)

Sea What I See kicked off her preparation in style, with a dominant maiden win over 1300m at Bendigo.

A daughter of Sea The Stars, she didn't have much luck at her first two outings but everything went to plan for her last time and she proved superior.

Settling just off the leader she accelerated strongly when asked for an effort and the way she worked through the line suggests the rise to the mile will suit.

Shinn sticks with her and barrier two should see her enjoy a similar run in transit.

RACE 6 - 8:45PM: THE ORBIT LOGISTICS VALLEY SUMMER SPRINT SERIES HEAT 6 BM64 (1200 METRES)

Artistic Genius has only had the two career starts and looks very progressive.

He showed plenty of tenacity to hold on and score on debut but didn't have much luck from an outside barrier at his second outing.

He resumes here a gelding and has performed well in two recent jump outs.

Daniel Stackhouse has partnered him in both raceday appearance and will again do the steering.

He does have the wide gate to overcome but with any luck, should be right there at finish.

RACE 7 - 9:15PM: ENTRY EDUCATION ABELL STAKES LISTED HANDICAP (1200 METRES)

Umgawa resumes.

The ultra consistent son of Shamus Award may not have the best win strike rate but he's always thereabouts and does race very well fresh.

He was racing in terrific form last campaign and was unlucky not have won here back in October.

Given two recent jump outs he looks ready to go and the 1200m first up looks ideal.

Blake Shinn goes onboard and from barrier four he's set to receive every chance.

RACE 8 - 9:45PM: THE ORBIT LOGISTICS VALLEY SUMMER SPRINT SERIES HEAT 7 BM70 (1000 METRES)

Andouillette remains unbeaten this campaign and the Russian Revolution gelding looks well placed to continue on his winning way.

At his first two runs back from a break he sat just off the leader and extended strongly when asked to quicken, and last time, over this track and trip, he held the lead and found plenty over the final part to pull away and post a 1.75 length margin.

He looks to have plenty of upside and from the inside draw he'll take some catching.

Ryan Houston stays on and will take 3kgs off.

2 units – ANDOUIILLETTE
