Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on September 14.
Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Corowa, Taree, Wangaratta and Yeppoon.
COROWA: RACE 5 @ 3:40 PM
ONE MAN BAND (6) is in a sharp Canberra barn and is ready to win reaching peak fitness. Has been a well-bet favourite the last three and there was only a lip in at Moruya the latest. Uses the rail and gets in well with the 2kg claim. FORSUREUSAY (1) resumes off a lip defeat at Albury. Has trialled well and the lightly-raced galloper will be improved and go well. THEN (10) led and was just nudged out at Wagga. She has more up the sleeve and has to be considered drawn to advantage. IF YOU SAY SO (13) is honest and won't be far away back to a sprint.

TAREE: RACE 6 @ 4:35 PM
CAMP RIFLE (1) is coming off two good runs in Brisbane. Made considerable ground when second last start at Eagle Farm over 1300m and is long overdue for a win. Gets chance here. NOWYUNOMI (2) won narrowly by half a length two runs back at Dubbo then missed a lip at Mudgee. Going very well and expected to be in the finish. LORD AVATAR (4) is coming off a nice win at Grafton and down 1kg from the run. Tougher race but among the hopes again. PAR AVION (7) in strong form scoring two wins with one placing from four starts this preparation and last start winner at this track in soft going. Can measure up again. THE MISTRAL (6) fitter again and drawn the widest but has good speed to overcome the gate. Capable of a big sight.
SELECTIONS: Hard to go past Camp Rifle.
WANGARATTA: RACE 8 @ 4:30 PM
FAST SAGRADO (7) was beaten 1L at Benalla improving again. He gets a small claim and will use the low gate. In good hands and rates to win. MATTASH (8) won the Maiden at his second start and resumes with high stable-striker McDougall booked. He's sure to have come on and the speedy galloper should go close. GOTTALUVTRUCKS (5) needed the run first-up and will be much better over the longer sprint. May need one more but has to be respected. LAST HOPE (1) has threatened the last two and reaches peak fitness. Has the speed to find a forward slot and the honest gelding gets another chance.
SELECTIONS: Backing Fast Sagrado.
YEPPOON: RACE 6 @ 4:42 PM
FANAAR (4) was a winner three back then placed in the Townsville Quality before coming home hard to place at Doomben. Suited for this race and clearly the one to beat. CAVELLTON (3) wound up strongly to finish on the winner's heels last start at Mackay. Overdue and will be tough to hold off again. HI HARRY (2) finished among the placings last time when second at Emerald and should be further improved. Go close with the claim today. ROCK 'N' SOL (5) had little luck last time burt should be wining up strongly.
SELECTIONS: Impossible to go past Fanaar.
