Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for July 22.
Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Kembla Grange, Ballina, Cranbourne, Townsville and Pinjarra.
KEMBLA GRANGE: RACE 9 @ 4:40 PM
SQUANTO (10) wasn't beaten far when 3.6L away at Kensington last start and will face much easier opponents here. Tommy Berry takes the ride and from a good draw he looks hard to beat. DEADLY IMPACT (2) third-up today and hasn't missed the placings so far this campaign. Reaches 2000m for the first time but gets Hugh Bowman in the saddle. Leading chance on best figures. JOE'S JOY (11) disappointed at Gosford just 7 days ago but was beaten a nose over this track and distance two back. Draws well and with the light weight she should be in it for a long way. DUCHESS OF WINDSOR (5) is ready for this trip third-up. Wet track is no problem and Brenton Avdulla taking the ride is a big tick. Not out of this.

BALLINA: RACE 4 @ 2:35 PM
TIOMO (2) has to come back in distance but just missed in that contest and that stacks right up. He's also back in class. HOLBROOK (6) got closer at Lismore back to 1400m and running favourite. In the mix but finds it hard to win. JUST LIKE MUM (10) placed at Grafton having his first outing since transferring from Victoria. She has more to give but has to manage a sticky barrier. RUNYOO (7) has placed 2/3 this campaign and is worth a look in light with the 4kg claim.
SELECTIONS: Tiomo to win.
CRANBOURNE: RACE 3 @ 1:00 PM
FINE WEATHER (5) turned in an excellent effort here when sent out favourite last time. Will strip fitter again and the extra trip should not pose a problem. JANA (13) has had the three runs back from a break and did hit the line solidly over a shorter trip last time. Is well placed here and can go close. HANDBALL (6) stuck to task soundly last time when runner-up at Warracknabeal. Going well and gets chance to break through here. LUNA TOO (7) hasn't been too far away in recent efforts at Moe and Sale and shapes as though the trip will be ideal.

TOWNSVILLE: RACE 7 @ 4:47 PM
LIFETIME QUEST (1) won three-back and has been okay this grade the two since getting back off wide gates. He will sit handier today and can bounce back on a 6-day return. ZOUVILLA (3) also draws well and deserved the 60 win. That stacks up and he's a player. EIGHTFA (11) missed a lip behind the above running his best race. The wide gate makes it tougher today. SOLDIERS (2) is racing well and won't be far away in easier grade.
