Grafton: Race 6 @ 3:40pm

Expecting a genuine speed. ILIA (6) deserves another win. Racing in good heart of late. Found one better on the heavy going at Ballina a month back. Primed to strike here. Loves it at Grafton. Gets in well with the claim and from the soft alley she'll find a lovely stalking position from the outset. Hard to topple. SOFT TOP (2) looms as a danger. Led them up at the Gold Coast last start but was found wanting late. Awkwardly drawn today but does have gears. She's guaranteed to give a sight on the home track. COUNTERCURRENT (1) is poorly weighted taking on older/experienced horses. Few gear changes and it's hard to dismiss the stable. NATURAL IMAGE (5) is stuck on two wins however goes in all multiples. RUBY TWO SHOES (4) next best. SELECTIONS: Ilia for the win.

Hawkesbury: Race 2 @ 1.20pm.

Scarpa should find the lead with little bother. MOINDA (5) has improved at each of her three runs this prep. Was a bit keen midrace last start but worked home well in the straight to finish runner-up over this course and distance. Not a great deal of depth to this so she looks very hard to toss reaching peak fitness now. The two-year-old UPRISE (8) is the hardest to beat after sound 4th on debut over 900m at Newcastle recently. Found that journey too slick but did get to the line well. Likely improver. Expect one of this duo to win. SCARPA (4) was beaten a fair way in the same race as Moinda last time out. Form before that was a lot better so might be worth another chance. OUR CELTIC STAR (2) is never far away and should go in all the multis. SUGGESTED PLAY: This looks the ideal race for #5 Moinda.

Devonport: Race 5 @ 2.13pm

The front could be up for grabs. APPRAISE (3) has not been beaten far from a spell. He finally draws an alley so can sit closer and prove hard to hold out. Big chance. SH'BOURNE REBEL (4) ran a decent race resuming after doing a few things wrong. He will be fitter for that now. DIESEL DAN (1) is first up and he always runs an honest race. Just needs to be close enough over the shorter course. FAGIN'S TOUCH (2) found it too short two weeks ago. Has the ability to go well. GEEGEES ROCK OPERA (6) has run best this track. SUGGESTED PLAY: Fancy Appraise will win.

Sunshine Coast: Race 7 @ 4:00pm

ONE MORE CAST (4) placed in open class two back then not disgraced here in the Guineas last time. Hard to beat back in grade. RATIONALE (5) boxed on same journey here last time when on speed but outdashed. Each way hope on best form. RAINS APLENTY (11) finished ahead of Rationale last time and kept coming. Definite winning chance here. MY DELILAH (7) faded out of it latest but peaks here and can sneak a place. LIKE A RULER (6) is next best. SUGGESTED PLAY: One More Cast can bounce back.

Alice Springs Race 3 @ 2:56pm

Magnus Bay may be the one to lead. PAOLO (1) is ex Newcastle and resumes for the Bell yard. He goes well on the fresh side and has won a trial here by a space. He will use the low draw and should be winning in this company. MAGNUS BAY (3) resumes and will be very competitive at best. He will use the rail and watch the market closely. MIGHTY MICK (2) resumes with a 3kg claim and ran a distant second to Paolo in that trial. He will be around the mark. QUE PASA (4) peaks and may be best of the rest. SELECTION: # 1 Paolo looks well-placed.

Broome Race 6 @ 6:25pm

Pair Of Fivez may be the one to lead. MAJORA'S MASK (1) won by a space at his first run for the new yard bringing some strong performances from Ascot. He's quick enough to manage the wide gate and clearly rates to win again. WILLAS WAY (3) got back second-up, but hit the line well though well beaten. He has more up the sleeve and is a strong chance drawn better with a 3kg claim. PAIR OF FIVEZ (2) runs along and missed a lip the latest off the easy Maiden win. Uses the rail and is a chance with further improvement. ARMOURER (4) seeks the hat-trick and did it tough the latest. He gets the chance to go on. SELECTION: # 1 Majora's Mask should be winning.

Mt Gambier Race 7 @ 3:55pm

Gingerjack and Tzarevna can make the speed. EMIL (1) came hard to win the 58 at Casterton well-backed and it was deserved. Gets Clark and looks well-placed to repeat despite being back 200m. GINGERJACK (5) led and missed a nose at Warrnambool on stronger than this. He's a danger with a repeat of that. COLUMN (2) is capable of being around the mark back in trip and drawn well. SIERRA MOON (9) resumes and has placed 2/3 that state. Keep her safe. SELECTION: #1 Emil looks well-suited again.
