Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on July 24.
Five TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Wednesday at Canterbury, Sandown, Doomben, Belmont & Murray Bridge.
Doomben Race 2 @ 12:30pm
Liability the likely leader. GREAT KEPPELL (4) just missed resuming bringing strong form. He is promising and should have these well covered lining up here instead of Race 1 which he could also have won. GIGLI PRIMO (3) didn’t miss by far here on debut when expected to need it. Might have to find a bit to beat the above, but looks better then the rest on what we’ve seen. LIABILITY (5) is likely to run them along and resumes off a long break owning a trial win. Gets a form hoop and expect him to come back much improved. MEXICAN YELL (6) has more to offer and may be next best. SELECTIONS: Keen on #4 Great Keppell.

Sandown: Race 3 @ 1:35pm
A lot of these looking to bounce back. CONNERY (4) is going better than form suggests and not far away in town last two. Won only start here and expected to go close. MOSS 'N' BOLT (7) only battled over the extra trip last time. Can bounce back here. Among the top chances. INVERLOCH (1) was well held latest but rates highly here. Back in trip and will take catching. COME ON CARL (2) has the ability to be in the finish. Each way chance. SERENADE THE STARS (5) was well held latest and prefer the place. SELECTIONS: Connery hard to beat.
Canterbury: Race 4 @ 2:35pm
A true middle-distance test as Contaminated leads at a good clip from Ulusaba. ULUSABA (12) settled off the pace against his usual pattern last start and worked home well to be beaten just 1.7 lengths over this course and distance. Has taken a little while to arrive at peak fitness this campaign but will be cherry-ripe today. CONTAMINATED (10) chalked-up the hat-trick last start with a dominant all-the-way win over 1750m on the Canberra Acton. Deserves a crack in town and won't be out of place. SEEINGISBELIEVING (8) is a model of consistency and maintained the good recent form last start when a comfortable winner over 1600m at Scone. Another who has to step up to city grade but looks up to the task. Big watch on the French import PENSHURST (9) who has not raced since March 2018. SELECTIONS: #12 Ulusaba is ready to win.
Murray Bridge: Race 7 @ 4:10pm
Containment may be the one to lead from Diplomatic Measure crossing over. A good contest. ALSVIOR (4) is lightly-raced and looked in need of it reuming in stronger grade at Morphettville. He won the Maiden at Hamilton second-up his first campaign and then tacked the Bendigo Guineas. Is back after a month with Gatt sticking and should go close. DIPLOMATIC MEASURE (6) led winning here three back on debut and then had two runs in Victoria. He’s had 62 days to freshen and has trialled. He should clear the wide gate okay and sharp improvement won’t surprise. FUGITIVE (14) won the 56 comfortably at Mt Gambier as favourite and the provincial runs here prior also stack right up. He can race handy and is a chance to repeat. EXALTED HONEY (13) came back improved, but has to jump 350m on a 7-day return. A canny yard and keep safe. SELECTIONS: Expecting the McEvoy yard to have a big day, but they are well found. Away from it, #4 Alsvior looks suited in this contest.
