Five TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Friday at Goulburn, Wyong, Ballarat, Gatton & Carnarvon.

Ballarat Race 7 @ 4:00pm

Moneefa the likely leader. EGYPTIAN GOLD (1) got too far back as favourite resuming and then hit the line well in stronger grade than this. She has more to give at this trip and draws to advantage with the claim. MONEEFA (5) came to this surface and was much too good for the Maidens. That reads well and he gets the chance to repeat with the extra fitness. MIKEYS TURF (3) deserved the first-up Maiden win and was plain on the heavy surface after. Comes here for the first time with extra fitness and Rawiller will give her every chance from the low gate. DIRTY DIGBY (4) isn’t without a chance forgiving the latest. SELECTIONS: #1 Egyptian Gold can find her best today and that would be good enough.

Goulburn: Race 1 @ 12:15pm

A muddling pace expected from the small field. ILVERMORNY (1) returned from a six-month spell with a cracking run last start at Kembla over 1200m, winding up from near the tail on the corner to be beaten just a head. Strips fitter today and over the slightly longer trip in an easier maiden he looks the winner. CHABROL (2) is the danger returning from a 15-week layoff. Has been gelded since the last prep when his best effort was a 2nd at Newcastle over 1400m. May need the run but has more ability than most of these. LOMBARDIA (7) was turned out after a disappointing debut over 1150m at the Kensington track in early April. Expect more this time around. SHOWBOUND (4) was just fair on debut at Cessnock but can improve. SELECTIONS: Very keen on #1 Ilvermorny.

Wyong: Race 3 @ 1:40pm

Not a great deal of pace on show here, with Prospero probably taking up the running. PROSPERO (1) shared the lead into the straight but felt the pinch in the final furlong when 3rd at Kembla last start over 1400m. Fitter for two runs now and with blinkers on can lead this field a merry dance. BOLD AND WILD (2) was first up from an 11-month spell last time out and did a fine job to battle on for a close 4th over 1200m at Kembla. Draws well and should be prominent with the cobwebs cleared. NIJINSKA (9) pulled wide to challenge in the straight but lacked dash when 6th at Goulburn recently over 1300m. Worth another chance today third up from a spell with the blinkers applied. MONTEREY LAD (4) was scratched at the barrier earlier this week when favoured in betting. Worth considering. SELECTIONS: #1 Prospero to prosper with the blinkers on.

Carnarvon Race 4 @ 6:00pm

Early speed across the barriers. FARALON (1) has won both runs back comfortably at this trip and keeps improving. He still looks well-placed with the claim and rates to make the hat-trick. ESPRESSO LASS (4) brings a string of placings and was beaten just 1.5L last time behind the above. No surprise if she gets closer. BULL BAILEY (3) placed in the same race and has also been threatening. The 3kg claim assists again. SOUTHERN WARRIOR (2) also has a hope. SELECTIONS: #1 Faralon should be winning again and looks the best on a tough program.
