Despite still a maiden in Singapore, the Cliff Brown trained Elite Incredible appears poised to break through when due to contest the ninth event at Kranji on Sunday evening.
Only a recent addition to Brown's stable, Elite Incredible has placed in three of four attempts, including a second placing in the Group 1 Singapore Guineas [1600m].
Returning from a short break last start (64 days), Elite Incredible went down as the short priced favourite ($1.40), however no knock on his performance and he can improve sharply racing second up.
Ridden by Michael Rodd, there wasn't much more he could do, the winner [Elise] was simply rated too well in front by Benny Woodworth.
They gapped the rest and Elite Incredible now appears set to relish the step up to 1400m.
Stepping up to Class 3 company, this is obviously harder, however he appears well placed on best form and should get a lovely run from the middle draw.
The last time we saw him over 1400m he finishing a narrow second behind Top Knight and if able to run up to that level of form, he is sure to take plenty of beating.
Hoping he can adopt a fairly forward position and with even luck, Elite Incredible should prove very hard to beat.
The Michael Clements trained Real Success won well last start and appears capable of taking that next step.
Only relatively lightly raced, he has placed in six of 10 attempts and like the fact he comes here fresh (37 days).
His most recent trial was very good and with Duric sticking aboard, he looms as a major threat from the favourable draw.
The Cliff Brown trained Wassergeist won well in his Singapore debut, before he simply got too far back last start when safely held behind Revolution.
Still found the line well enough and he is sure to relish the step up to 1400m.
Not sure he was overly suited on the polytrack last start, so the return to the turf is another tick.
When assessing Timeform weight adjusted ratings, he appears well placed on best form and have to forgive a good horse one bad run.
Of the rest the Lee Freedman trained Elite Conquest appears the next in line.
A handy second placing first up, he can improve further second up and from the rails draw he has to be kept safe with Moor aboard.
Good luck and happy punting.
