Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on August 10.

It's Missile Stakes Day at Rosehill. A hint of spring in the air with the Aurie's Star at Flemington and good meetings at Doomben, Belmont, and the launch of the new Murray Bridge. 

 

Rosehill: Race 7 @ 3:35pm

Spring is certainly in the air at Rosehill on Saturday with the Listed Rosebud a clear highlight, not to mention star mare Alizee resuming in the Missile Stakes - pumped!

The David Payne trained Costello creates plenty of interest in the seventh event having put the writing on the wall behind Dr Drill last start. Read More

Flemington: Race 5 @ 1:55pm

The weather might suggest otherwise but the Flemington card on Saturday hints at spring being around the corner.

The Aurie's Star has long been a spring kick-off point and it has brought together a deep and interesting field this year. There are plenty of angles and finding the winner is far from straightforward but we are hoping that it is in the fifth race on the card where Twilight Run  goes as our bet of the day. Read More

 

Doomben: Race 4 @ 1:13pm

It is a tough day at Doomben but they do find a good track.

While he has already garnered some support, we can still back Alligator Blood at a price in the 3yo race.

This son of All Too Hard had two runs in his first prep and won them both in a similar style. Read More

 

Murray Bridge: Race 7 @ 4:16pm

Racing goes to the new Murray Bridge for a Saturday card.

We will take a horse who won there on debut as the best being The Difference.

He's won two trials and then started very short over the 1000m where he almost went around for practice. Read More

 

Belmont: Race 6 @ 3:03pm

A big nine race card kicks off the new metro season in Perth. Taking a bit of a gamble that he gets a start but Zaratite is a young horse with a future and will take some beating if he runs in Race 6. Read More
