Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on August 27.
Three TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Tuesday at Scone, Mornington & Mackay.
Scone: Race 7 @ 4:25pm
Palais De Louvre and Fine Behind will ensure a brisk tempo. PALAIS DE LOUVRE (3) was three-wide with no cover for the trip and as a result just battled in the straight to clock-in 4th over this distance at Gunnedah in a Class 3 last start. Down in grade today and on an eight-day back-up which is a positive lead from the stable. SHOWADA (7) is worth considering first up from a five-month spell. Will be better over more ground later in the prep but is capable of sprinting well while fresh. DAIQUIRI LASS (1) raced on the speed and didn't shirk her task when runner-up over 1450m at Quirindi recently. Twice a winner at this trip so has to be respected. MUMMENTUM (6) ground out a tough maiden win last time out over 1250m at Taree. Lightly raced and capable of taking this next step but has come up very short in early markets. SELECTIONS: #3 Palais De Louvre each-way at juicy odds.

Mackay: Race 3 @ 2:55pm
Ararrac can lead from El Shaday and Toxophily. ANOTHER SLIPPER (4) missed a nose here 22 days ago and then delivered the win in the CL6 at this track as a hot favourite, and did it comfortably. He draws low again and can make the double. ARARRAC (6) has been threatening and rates well. He can run them along from the rail and will be tough to past. HEYINGTON (7) resumes and goes well fresh. He’s up to this and watch the market closely. EL SHADAY (1) was back to his best winning the Open here at long odds. Gets the big weight, but will be around the mark. SELECTIONS: #4 Another Slipper can win again. #1 Ta Chanson should win Race 2, but is predicably very short.
Mornington: Race 7 @ 4:30pm
Myopic can lead from Riverina Lass. RED JEWEL GIRL (6) just missed resuming off the deserved Maiden win. She can sit handier today and will be tough to beat at a winning trip with the extra fitness. RIVERINA LASS (1) impressed missing a lip in the 64 at Cranbourne and then was okay in stronger again at The Valley. She will use the low gate and gets the blinkers, and handy 3kg claim for a good apprentice. MYOPIC (10) just missed at Moe and is one to consider at odds. DAME VASSA (7) is honest and is in the mix. SELECTIONS: #5 #6 Red Girl Jewel looks a bet on a tough day.
