The Michael Clements trained Spirit Of Big Bang really impressed in his Singapore debut and should prove hard to beat on Friday night.
Due contest the second event, Spirit Of Big Bang was formerly trained by Mick Halford in Ireland, placing in two of his four attempts.
He arrived in Singapore rated 84 by Timeform, a mark which should see him very competitive.
Kicking off over 1200m, Spirit Of Big Bang made a mess of the start and was forced to settle at the rear of the field.
Spotting the leaders 15L at the turn, Spirit Of Big Bang initially stuck to the inside, before weaving his way to the outside passing the 200m.
Letting down strongly, he really launched late, only to just miss (0.3L).
An eye catching debut to say the least, he is sure to derive good improvement from that effort and appears very well placed on Friday night.
Over 1200m he is likely to struggle to settle on-speed, however hoping he can adopt a more forward position from the inside draw.
In his sole public trial he began well, so happy to forgive what he did first up.
Like the fact he comes here fresh (28 days) and with his fair share of luck, he should prove very hard to beat.
When assessing Timeform weight adjusted ratings, he holds a clear edge and is the one they will all have to hold out.
The Cliff Brown trained Attention has been solid enough in two runs back this time in and has to be respected racing third up.
Placing in three of his seven starts, Michael Rodd notably legs aboard and he too comes here fresh (42 days).
His recent trial was solid enough and he shapes as one of the main dangers.
The Stephen Gray trained St Alwyn disappointed last start, but is better than that and with Duric booked, he remains under strong notice.
Of the rest the Tan trained Remarkable Empire appears the next in line.
Good luck and happy punting.
