Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on September 25.

 Five TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Wednesday at Canterbury, Flemington, Doomben, Belmont & Strathalbyn.  

Flemington: Race 2 @ 1:35pm

Winsome Voyage can lead from the rail from Grinzinger Allee crossing over. SOUL PATCH (1) resumed at Sandown this grade off the debut win and was beaten 1L after settling at the back from the wide gate. He impressed in that and gets an ideal draw today. The scratching of Defiant Dancer clearly makes the colt the one to beat. LAKE'S FOLLY (4) was heavily-backed resuming at Sandown and was unlucky. He has more to offer and gets the blinkers applied first time. TRITON RISING (14) returned in good order before delivering the comfortable Maiden win on the synthetic. He draws out, but has the ability to make the finish. GRINZINGER ALLEE (3) and TOFFEE DOLL (13) are both improvers worth consideration. SELECTIONS: With #1 Soul Patch who is promising.

Canterbury: Race 2 @ 1:35pm

Side Hustle to lead but they won't be breaking any records. Chris Waller has a strong hand with the impeccably bred LEWIS (4) the pick. Loomed up to look a chance on the corner over this course and distance a fortnight ago but he laid in badly and cost himself any chance. Will learn a lot from that run. Nash Rawiller's engagement is crucial - his vigorous riding style can iron out this colt's waywardness. Stablemate RELUCENT (3) is up from Melbourne where he flashed home last time out to finish a close 2nd over 1400m at Sandown. Certain to appreciate the extra trip - not so sure about the tighter track. Agree with the market assessment that this is a race in two. Next in line is NATANYA (6) who disappointed at Kembla last start. A tongue tie goes on today so she may have choked down on that occasion. Strips fitter and will appreciate a little bit more ground. Big gap to the fourth selection SIDE HUSTLE (12).  SELECTIONS: Back #4 Lewis with a degree of confidence.

Strathalbyn: Race 5 @ 3:00pm

The Trooper can lead from Fabulous Flipper and Spirited Match. FABULOUS FLIPPER (7) returned to form just missing this grade at the Bridge. Won the CL2 three-back and has the figures to win this with the claim. THE TROOPER (2) peaks and has been good the last two runs. He will push forward and get every chance with the 3kg claimer aboard. READY SUNSHINE (1) has been around the mark in stronger grades. Gets some gear tweaks and the 3kg claim and expect him to go well. NEWBAY FLYER (3) won the Maiden at Gawler for the new yard and can build on that. SELECTIONS: #7 Fabulous Flipper finds the right race.
