Six TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Friday at Goulburn, Scone, Benalla, Moonee Valley (night), Cairns & Sunshine Coast (night).

Moonee Valley: Race 7 @ 9:30pm

Pace is drawn low with Ball Of Muscle a free-runner and Eduardo sure to be pressing him. Nature Strip jumps from one and has the pace to lead them all if they choose. NATURE STRIP (5) is the best horse here but he doesn't always produce. Has to jump well from barrier one and he will want room to run but if he gets that he can take control of this with his pace through the middle stages and he can run times that the others here can't. Wide open if he fails. SUNLIGHT (11) had excuses when resuming. Can overlook that and her second up run last prep saw her winning the Newmarket. Group 1 winner around here and hard to dismiss. TREKKING (2) won the Stradbroke last time. This could be on the sharp side for him but he is very honest. BALL OF MUSCLE (1) and EDUARDO (9) can fly around the 1000m and should be in the race for a long way. SELECTIONS: Sunlight each way.

Goulburn: Race 6 @ 3.50pm

Tresse D'or goes fast and leads from Is That So, Pincer and War Deck. Like the on-pacers here. PINCER (11) took over on the corner and looked the winner until ambushed in the final stages over 1300m at this track a fortnight ago when making his debut. Good gap to 3rd that day which is encouraging. Enjoys a beautiful trail behind the lead from gate one and will be hard to hold out over the extra furlong. IS THAT SO (1) had his chance but lacked a turn of foot over 1350m at the Beaumont track last start, beaten comfortably in 4th place. Fitter for two runs back and needs this trip now. WAR DECK (3) raced very wide and understandably dropped out at the end of a mile at Canberra recently. Form before that was solid so worth another chance. TRESSE D'OR (2) will be near his peak third up today - sure to give backers a sight. SELECTIONS: Keen on #11 Pincer.

Benalla: Race 8 @ 4:00pm

Haski, Sherriff John Stone and Blue Tycoon will be prominent from the jump. MASTERING (4) is a well-performed galloper who didn’t have the best of it resuming at Caulfield. He is sharp second-up and can win this at best. Draws handy and expect quick improvement. AKKADIAN (8) resumes as a gelding with the tongue tie applied. He has won 2/4 first-up and rates highly. A bold run is on the cards. BLUE TYCOON (5) was an easy 78 winner at Swan Hill and expect that to stack right up. He’s a genuine chance pushing forward. ANGELIC SPIRIT was much better the latest and gets her chance drawn to advantage. CARDINI (2) is a former UK galloper with Team Hayes. He placed at Group level three back at 1414m and has trialled. Keep him very safe. HASKI (3) brings a career peak to the resumption, but hasn’t been seen for 538 days. He’s one to keep a close eye on. SELECTIONS: #Mastering can find his best in a competitive race.

Scone: Race 7 @ 4:45pm

Expect the pace to be solid but a leader is hard to identify. ISLAND GRANGE (9) was back in form last time, thundering home from a mile back on the corner to get within a head of the winner over 1200m at Mudgee. Draws a far better gate today so can race closer and is sure to be hard to hold out. WITHOUT CONVICTION (6) has been freshened up since making a sustained run and pulling right away over 1300m at Gunnedah 39 days ago. Raced four times over today's trip for two wins so coming off a little break should be sharp enough to test this lineup. AZCANNYAZ (3) is a very honest gelding but doesn't win too often. Last raced seven weeks ago when a closing 2nd to the smart Eleven Eleven over 1000m at Kembla. Placed 7/9 at this trip, usually in better company, so looks a great each-way chance. HYLONOME (7) is capable of a big run first up despite the wide gate.  SELECTIONS: #9 Island Grange looks a very nice bet at each-way odds.

Cairns: Race 6 @ 4:55pm

Dream I Can and Ruby Red Socks can make the speed. RIEL REWARD (3) as a former Victorian who was just beaten resuming this grade and trip for the new yard. He has plenty up the sleeve and can prove too good for these. DREAM I CAN (2) wasn’t beaten far in the same race off the comfortable 60 win. He runs along and always puts in. INTENSE FOCUS (10) rates well at best and will be better for the two runs in. Gets the weight drop and is a genuine contender. HIGH DIVE (4) is going well, but has to run out the extra trip. SELECTIONS: #3 Reil Reward looks well-suited.

Sunshine Coast: Race 7 @ 9:10pm

Solid speed to end the program. Handy race to end proceedings. MAKFI AMOUR (12) had a campaign in Victoria last time in, a successful one at that. Placed to Age Of Chivalry over this distance earlier in the year. Given time by the stable. This is a nice race to kick off in and her city trial a fortnight ago has assured punters it'll take something special to beat her. MASLOW (10) resumed in fine style at Ipswich. Jumped a well supported favourite and was ultimately eased down on the line for an impressive victory. Harder here but in the right stable. Can measure-up. MAGIC LAD (3) is hard to catch. Not beaten far here last start after working early from the wide draw. No star but genuine. One for the exotics. SELECTIONS: Keen on Makfi Amour.

Nature Strip began reasonably well from his inside barrier (1) and soon drove through along the inner to take the lead. He was then pressured from the 600m (by Miss Leonidas) before getting a break on straightening. He then had enough in hand to hold on and record a good win, his second at Group 1 level. The outsider Miss Leonidas showed good early pace but was caught three wide before moving up to race outside of the leader (Nature Strip). She then held on surprisingly well for a very good second after working most of the way. Multiple Group 1-winning mare Sunlight settled in ninth place, one off the rails, before tracking up (deep) rounding the home turn and under pressure. She then came with a strong late run to grab third in a smart effort. Faatinah was caught deep in seventh place from his outside barrier (15) before improving nicely to be third at the home turn. He then held on very well for a close-up fourth while Bons Away came with a strong late run from beyond mid-field to finish a good fifth.
