The Shane Baertschiger trained Arnantara creates plenty of interest in his Singapore when due to line up in the ninth event on Sunday night.
A late scratching on the 22nd of September (found to be lame near-hind after falling over in the Parade Ring), it's a case of take-two on Sunday.
Formerly trained by Jamie Richards in New Zealand [Old Name: Our Flying Ace], the son of Darci Brahma won two of his three starts, including a Group 3 placing behind My Xpression.
A good talent, Arnantara left New Zealand shores rated 103 by Timeform.
Lining up in the Class 4 event, he does appear very well placed at the weights especially with the added aid of the claim.
Last seen at Ashuburton back in October (358 days), Arnantara has had the three trials in the lead up, most recently finishing 4th beaten 3.2L (1:01.53).
Ridden by Matt Kellady, he just cruised to the line it with 67kg on his back and appears in fine fettle.
While unlikely to be at his peak first up, he strikes a very winnable race and is drawn to get a lovely run from the middle draw.
Quite tractable, he can race wherever Yusoff feels comfortable and with all things being equal, he looks to have a bit on them.
When assessing Timeform weight adjusted ratings, he sits well clear and should prove very hard to beat.
Suspect he'll win tonight and tear through the grades.
The Desmond Koh trained Coming Through was very good on debut, before not disgraced last start when fifth.
Didn't have the clearest of passage there and notably gets the blinkers on for the first time.
He should press forward from the middle draw and be in this for a long way.
The Lim trained I'm A Conqueror won well on debut last time in and remains a big watch on debut for his new stable.
Off the scene for 252 days, he has trialled well and is expected to make his presence felt.
Of the rest last start winner Limited Edition appears the next in line.
Good luck and happy punting.
