The Leticia Dragon trained Surpass Natural chases his fifth straight win on Friday night, when due to contest the eighth event at Kranji.
Most impressive in his first three starts, Surpass Natural made the rise to Class 3 with consummate ease last start.
A dominant display in lead up, Surpass Natural dropped 2.5kg, but was facing his stiffest test, not that the market agreed ($1.20F).
He simply ran them off their feet two back, but didn't have it all his own way last start.
Beginning well from the middle draw, he pressed on to sit outside the lead with the Stephen Gray trained Unconquered holding the rail.
Under riding coming into the straight, Unconquered did look to travel the better of the two, before Surpass Natural got to work.
Taking over inside the 200m, Surpass Natural began to draw away, switching off late to score by a length and change.
Returning a Timeform rating of 84, he improved three pounds on his previous best and is clearly a galloper trending the right way.
One of the better maiden winners you'll see, Surpass Natural was rated 75+ by Timeform and he's certainly used that '+' to his full advantage.
Untouchable on the polytrack, Surpass Natural comes into this on the fresh side (40 days) and has trialled very well in the lead up.
Ridden by regular rider John Powell, Surpass Natural virtually led throughout, scoring narrowly in good time (59.72) and carried 69kg.
He appears in fine fettle and while rising 2kg, he still appears well placed.
Expected to continue his upward spiral, he should prove very hard to beat.
The Cliff Brown trained Ararat Lady won well last start and only looks to have to repeat that level of performance to be right in the finish again.
A multiple winner on the polytrack, she steps up in grade, but gets in very well at the weights.
From the wide draw she is expected to press forward and be in this for a long way.
The Shane Baertschiger trained Kiss Your Song has finished second at his last five starts and is certainly knocking on the door.
While possessing just three wins from 25 starts, he has placed on a further 14 occasions and is rarely far away.
From the rails draw he should receive all the favours and looms as a major threat with Duric taking over.
Of the rest the Mark Walker trained Axel appears the next in line in his return.
Good luck and happy punting.
