Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on October 24.
Four TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Thursday at Hawkesbury, Ballarat, Ipswich & Geraldton.
Ballarat Race 8 @ 5:00pm
La Belva may be the one to lead. SHANDY (6) is an improver ready to fire. Has good figures and the mile is perfect now. Draws well and Meech goes on. LA BELVA (4) has won two of the last three and delivered by a space 17 days ago in the Benalla 58. She’s quick and is sure to take passing. MEDIEVAL MISS (2) was wide winning this grade as favourite on the same day. A repeat wouldn't surprise from the better gate. ACCORDINGLY (8) is ready to win and is also a genuine hope. SELECTIONS: #6 Shandy looks the way to come home.

Hawkesbury: Race 3 @ 2:35pm
Hard to find a leader on the exposed form - it may be left to one of the debutantes to take it up. BRUNETTA (7) was near the tail of a small field on straightening last start over 1400m at Kembla but wound up nicely to get up for 3rd. Back in trip today but the blinkers go on to sharpen her up. Drops 3kgs after the claim under today's scale so this looks her ideal race. OXIDIZATION (3) was coming off a seven-week let-up when a close 3rd over 1200m at Newcastle last time out. Genuine mare who placed twice in town last prep and is looking for this trip with added fitness this afternoon. SUAVE (2) is a four-year-old on debut for Godolphin. By Lonhro from a Dehere mare who has produced the G1 winners Kidnapped and Hauraki. Been to the trials twice, scoring by a wide margin at the most recent hitout, so clearly has some of the family talent. LADY LUCIENNE (8) is a fit mare who battled on well at Kembla last start. In the mix. SELECTIONS: #7 Brunetta looks beautifully placed.
Geraldton: Race 6 @ 7:30pm
M’Lady to lead and there will be a couple close up on her. M'LADY (2) led and was much too good winning 11 days ago as the market expected. She can get all the favours again and build on that. FULLY STOKED (6) resumes and has won 2/5 that state. She will get back but should be coming hard. BLACK DYNAMITE (1) didn’t miss by far resuming in stronger. Hasn’t won for a long time but gets his chance with the 4kg claim. SILVER CLOUD THREE (5) led and won the CL2 resuming off a longish break and won’t have to improve much to be right in the finish. SELECTIONS: #2 M’Lady can keep things rolling.
