Seven TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Wednesday at Hawkesbury, Scone, Bendigo, Doomben, Bunbury, Murray Bridge & Launceston.

Hawkesbury: Race 4 @ 3:15pm

A keen contest for the early lead between Pyraminx and Hot Dude. ZAKAT (10) is a consistent colt from the Godolphin yard who is close to a win. Was handy all the way when a good 2nd first up over this distance at Warwick Farm. Didn't finish off when extended to a mile last start. Big chance third up back to this more suitable trip. PYRAMINX (6) was well-supported first up over 1200m at Kembla but after showing pace to the corner dropped out of contention. Strips fitter and is open to plenty of improvement. THE SNOOPERSTAR (8) resumes. Yet to place in five runs but has been competitive in stronger maidens. Will be better for this run but cannot be underestimated. DUCLAIR (2) first up for Team Snowden is an each-way hope following a moderate maiden prep. SELECTIONS: #10 Zakat should get away with a pretty plain maiden.

Scone: Race 6 @ 4:10pm

Not much early pace on paper so it could be a game of cat and mouse until they settle. AUTUMN RAIN (8) is always well supported but remains without a win after six starts. Chimed in late but the winner had stolen and break last start over 1506m at Port Macquarie. Rock-hard fit third up from a spell and is looking for the mile now. CHASING COMETS (5) spotted the leaders a big start over 1500m at Muswellbrook last time but really found the line to get up for 4th. The long straight and slightly longer trip are ideal. ONEMOREFORLUCK (11) recorded her fifth minor placing in 14 starts when she charged home late to finish a close 3rd over 1550m at Cessnock recently. Ran a couple of nice races over 1600m at Newcastle prior to that so today's scenario is very appealing. DELECTOR (13) ran on well over 1300m here last start. Suited up to this trip but doesn't look great value at around $3.20 in early markets. SELECTIONS: #8 Autumn Rain is worth one more chance.

Bendigo Race 7 @ 4:20pm

The pace looks solid over the staying trip with Only A Mother and Cleo’s Poet potential leaders. Super Girl is the one to beat and it looks very open if she falters. SUPER GIRL (14) just missed in the 70 at this trip before an okay effort when outgraded in the Group 3 Bendigo Cup. He peaks now and in this company is clearly the one they have to beat. QUEEN GUINEVERE (12) was a bit disappointing as favourite the latest but missed a lip the previous two. Comes to this trip for the first time but expect it to suit. HUTCHINSON (5) presents off a 5L Maiden win up to a middle distance from the mile. He gives him self every chance and needs to be kept on side. SAILORS FALLS (6) will use the low draw and just missed the hat-trick at Seymour. He won’t be far away. SELECTIONS: #14 peaks and with a good ride has the figures to be winning. Will also be having a modest each way wager on Hurricane Fighter (6) in race 8.

Murray Bridge Race 8 @ 5:10pm

There is early pace across the barriers with a number capable of leading. CAZABILLIE (2) will be better for the solid return and three back won a Ballarat maiden by 3.3L. She will be winning this if she can get close to that figure. TOORAK ROAD (10) will use the low gate and was beaten a nose 8 days ago in a stronger city race. Expect him to go close. ASHADY HUSSY (5) placed resuming here in a very strong form race coming from the back. He’s capable of sitting handier and fitter won’t be far away. NEWBAY FLYER (6) is better suited this grade and is going well enough to fill a spot. SELECTIONS: A fitter #2 Cazabillie should have them covered.

Doomben Race 7 @ 6:20pm

Shauquin and Stella Ombra can run them along. TAWFIQ BOY (3) has missed less than a length at his last two in Open grade at Eagle Farm. He draws to stalk the lead and will be very tough to beat. TARBERT (4) ran his best figure winning the Open at Grafton and then went to Randwick and things didn’t work out after a slow off. He wasn’t beaten far the same venue three back and will be tough to roll if he’s returned in good order. SHAUQUIN (5) runs along and capped a string of near-misses with the Open win this venue. He has the speed to manage the tricky gate and a repeat isn’t out of the question. Good betting races all day and outside the Maidens its a task to label any good things. SELECTIONS: #3 Tawfiq Boy can get all the favours in Race 7 and gets the nod.

Launceston Race 5 @ 8:10pm

Alfred Street will use the inside gate to advantage and lead. LUCA BRATZI (2) was most impressive when resuming from a six-month spell and having his first run for the new stable last start, motoring home after spotting the leaders a big start on the corner to just get up at the end of 1200m. Failed at 1400m when trained in Victoria but looks ready for the extra furlong now. ALFRED STREET (3) has not raced since finishing midfield over a mile at this track in April. Sparingly raced five-year-old who kicked off the last prep with a win. Sure to be prominent. MAGIC WALER (1) chased hard but just failed to pick up the winner recently over 1220m at this circuit. Will get back but is sure to be attacking the line strongly. HEAVEN'S DELIGHT (8) comes here fresh from a barnstorming win over 1220m. Hard to hold out again. SELECTIONS: Stick with #2 Luca Bratzi.
