NEWCASTLE: RACE 4 @ 2:55PM

Solid speed anticipated. Itz Lily  (5) is going to take plenty of beating. She's a class mare and a brief look at the formguide tells you that. Brings superior city form to this contest. Given three fitness building trials. Set to fire on the home track. JOIGNY (6) was flying before she was spelled. She won two straight at Wyong and both were rather impressive. Talented. Takes on better horses today but can't be dismissed. SPRING CHARLIE (1) hasn't won for awhile. He was a winning machine early in his career but has become more a placegetter these days. Two runs in have been fair. Back from city grade. Can settle behind the speed. Place chance. HIGH POWER (2) lacks the class but can run into the top four if things go right. SELECTIONS: Keen on Itz Lily.

GRAFTON: RACE 4 @ 2:40PM

Fudginit should be quick into stride. Line Up Girls (3) won't get a better opportunity. He's caused headaches to plenty of people throughout his career but can repay them with a win here. Looked home to the world this track/distance last start but Tactical Move had other ideas. Ticks all the right boxes. Gate one is perfect. D-day. MALAKAI (5) was solid on debut at Ballina. Given time to mature by the stable. 14L trial winner at Lismore recently. Different pressure raceday but he's clearly a horse with some talent. Watch market. PERSUE (9) needs a good ride. She likes to race prominent and has been good in two runs back. Peaking here. NO DOUBT A LADY (8) best of the rest. SELECTIONS: Line Up Girls finds his race.

TRARALGON: RACE 6 @ 3:55pm

On song, Grand Crown is the most likely leader. Howlowcanyougo (1) has won 3/4 and resumes off an unlucky effort in the Flemington Open 2. Goes fresh and is a promising gelding in a form yard and should have these covered. JUST LIKE MUM (5) needed it resuming but brought strong city form to that and can improve quickly in an easier assignment. GRAND CROWN (3) fell this grade at Cranbourne on resumption when expected to need the outing. He can win at best and the yard continues to pile on the winners. BRUEGHELINO (6) peaks off a better effort but finds it hard to win. SELECTIONS: Looks a good race for #1 Howlowcanyougo making sure the market is onside.

GERALDTON: RACE 1 @ 4:25PM (AEDST)

Recoiled and Touched to go forward at a modest clip. Recoiled (1) overcame a slow jump to run on well into 2nd place when resuming from a six-month spell over 1120m at this track last start. Has only won four races but three of the victories have come second up. Had the measure of many of today's chief rivals last start - clearly the one they have to beat. HOT STYLE (4) resumed in the same race as Recoiled last time out and was unable to run on, finishing a well-beaten 5th. Open to plenty of improvement, but has the job ahead to bridge a 3 lengths gap. GOLDEN ACRES (2) was never in the hunt recently when he stepped up to 1413m. Was just outside the placings at his two runs prior to that over today's trip. Each-way prospects. TOUCHED (6) was 3rd in the Recoiled race here first up. Hasn't won in a long while - a minor prize today would be a good outcome. SELECTIONS: #1 Recoiled should be far too good.

MURRAY BRIDGE: RACE 7 @ 5:30PM (AEDST)

A number run along with Olatunji and Birds In Hand prominent. Eclair Flame (13) missed a nose at Balaklava making a ratings leap. Races on-pace and back a bit in trip shouldn't bother. Has more to give and he's the one they have to beat. DESIDERO (8) just missed on the same day also making good improvement. Gets the claim and can be in the finish using the rail. DIAMONDS ARE (1) is a stablemate and best to go on strong 60 win here two back. He's also a hope. OLATUNJI (3) is up from the south east and won't be far away. SELECTIONS: #13 Éclair Flame peaks for the Stokes yard and this is his chance.

SUNSHINE COAST RACE 7 @ 5:55PM (AEDST)

A number race handy and Phoenix Shadow and Too Hard Miss will be prominent. Too Hard To Miss (11) should have no trouble crossing to the speed and is ready to win following the near miss in the Ballina CL1 at this distance. The two before in town read well and she makes most appeal. TOUGH DECISION (2) resumed improved at Doomben and nothing went right. Draws the carpark but that could make the price. The mile should suit. FAST DEALER (3) also draws out and had been more to give second-up. Ran favourite resuming here last time at this trip and just missed. PHOENIX SHADOW (1) will push forward and shouldn't be far away coming to peak. SELECTIONS: Like #11 Too Hard to Miss in a good contest.
