Seven TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Wednesday at Rosehill, Sandown, Terang, Dalby, Ascot, Murray Bridge & Launceston (night).

Rosehill: Race 2 @ 2:55pm

The scratchings have taken all the early pace out of this race - jockey tactics will be vital. GARRISON (2) debuted over 1000m at Warwick Farm in March and ran a respectable 2nd, making plenty of late ground. Suited over the slightly longer trip this time on a bigger track. Trialling in good style so looks ready to run. ROVER (1) is an interesting debutante from the Anthony Cummings yard. By Fastnet Rock from a Sadler's Wells mare who has produced six winners as well as G1 placegetter Rockfast. Placed in his only public trial. Watch betting closely. PRAGMATISM (7) is another debutante who is sure to have admirers. By Stratum from a Desert Sun mare with four winners from four foals. The winner of her only two trials so is clearly pretty smart. KATERU (4) closed well to grab 3rd on debut last start over 1000m at Warwick Farm. They ran slick time that day so the run had merit. Has come up a bit short in an open race.  SELECTIONS: Intriguing race. Backing #2 Garrison each-way at around the 4.60 mark in early markets is a safe option, but respect any push for #1 and/or #7.

Terang: Race 5 @ 3:50pm

Not clear-cut the lead. THERE YOU ARE (3) didn’t have much luck off the comfortable Maiden win and then found one better in a 64, racing three wide without cover. Comes back in grade and he is the one to beat. ONCE UPON A DREAM (9) presents off stronger city races. Didn’t have the best of it late at the Valley after the 1.4L defeat the same track and grade. Finds easier and is a genuine winning chance. REDEEKA (1) won the 56 as expected at Murray Bridge peaking off two near misses. Needs a good ride from the 3kg claimer, but won’t be far away. SKARBEK (6) resumes and is a market watch. SELECTIONS: #3 There You Are has the figures to win.

Murray Bridge: Race 6 @ 5:10pm

The large field should run along okay with Ambidazzle prominent. AMBIDAZZLE (5) has placed all three runs back in stronger grade and will get across to the speed okay. He looks well-set up with the claim and should prove the hardest to beat. ANCIENT HISTORY (12) has to come with the outside gate but gets the form hoop and is going well enough to make the finish. MAGESTIC DIVA (4) lost the rider and then bounced back beaten 1.4L. On the 7-day return and is a hope with the 4kg claim. SAND CAT (8) improved winning the 54 at Clare and that should stack up. The rail advantages and include at odds. SELECTIONS: #5 Ambidazzle peaks for the sharp yard and has more to offer.

Sandown: Race 7 @ 7:30pm

The large field will run along with Petruchio and Mystical Rose prominent from the jump. PETRUCHIO (2) is a former UK galloper who has just missed both runs for the new yard. The longer trip suits and he will take plenty of beating with Kersley’s claim. NIRVANA (4) just missed here second-up this grade off the 58 win and can keep improving. The claim is handy, but the gate is a challenge. DELIGHTFUL CELYNA (9) made a ratings spike in Open grade at Traralgon and will run it right out. The claim brings her into it. KIN NEKO (12) is an improver in good hands and won't be far away. MYSTICAL ROSE ditto. SELECTIONS: There is a sense of timing about #2 Petruchio.

Launceston: Race 9 @ 10:30pm

SIR SIMON (4) was outclassed at Flemington over the Melbourne Cup carnival but is much better placed back in Tasmania after winning his previous three starts, including when resuming here two back. Unbeaten at this distance and has good upside. Hard to beat. CUNNING FOX (6) is working up to a win after placing at his past two starts. Not beaten far last outing and will be hitting his peak. SHADY HUSTLE (3) was runner up last time and can progress third up. SELECTIONS: Sir Simon to win returning to Tasmania.
