Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on December 14.

It's Villiers Stakes Day at Randwick along with a twilight meeting back at Flemington. Other key meetings take place at Eagle Farm, Ascot and Morphettville. 

Randwick: Race 1 @ 1:00pm 

In the opening event the Team Snowden trained Misteed looks to get a completely different scenario on Saturday and is worth sticking with. While no match for Kylease in her return, she notably started ahead of her in the market ($4.20 Vs $4.80) and had clear excuses. Read More

We return to Flemington for a twlight Saturday card that looks like playing it's part in shaping the summer period of racing in Melbourne. One horse who will be out to stamp himself as a key player in summer features like the Standish Handicap is the Robbie Griffiths-trained Halvorsen who arrives a over a month on from his return win on the final day of the Melbourne Cup Carnival. Read More 

Eagle Farm: Race 4 @ 2:32pm 

A good day's racing at Eagle Farm on Saturday with some quality fields and big prizemoney on offer. The best bets come up early in the program, headed by the Robert Heathcote-trained Ziemba in the TAB Origin Jockey Series Benchmark 70 over 1600m. Read More

Ascot: Race 6 @ 5:55pm 

There is a bit of a lull after the Masters Series events at Ascot with only eight races on. There is a promising mare first up in Race 6 and she might just be better than the rivals to be able to overcome the fitness difference. Inspirational Girl is bred to want further than this being by Reliable Man. She may be a Perth Cup horse in 12 months. Read More

The Christmas Handicap is the highlight on the Morphettville program this weekend. In that race, nine of the field from the City Of Marion Stakes are backing up here and it was a bunched finish so we'll go away from that race.Lagerfeld has been running in good form through the Spring including a solid effort on Cup day at Flemington.
