Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on December 19.
Four TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Thursday at Wyong, Warrnambool, Cairns & Pinjarra.
Warrnambool: Race 3 @ 2:30pm
Mr Cancun will capitalise on the good gate and lead. MR CANCUN (5) was held up for a run at a vital stage before working home well to get up for 2nd over 1200m at this track on debut. Looks very hard to stop over the extra 200m with that race experience now on his side. INTELLECTIVE (10) is very reliable, with 3/3 minor placings. Came from a fair way back on the corner to get up for 2nd over this course and distance last time out. Keeps improving and from a perfect draw today poses a serious threat. Stablemate I DREAM OF JENA (9) took over before straightening but was headed at the furlong and battled on for 3rd over this course and distance in the same race as Intellective. Useful filly who has been competitive at all three runs. In the mix again. BLACK SYRAH (2) was strong at the end of 1200m on debut so this should suit. SELECTIONS: Good maiden but #5 Mr Cancun stands out.

Wyong: Race 4 @ 3:45pm
Vulpine and Enamour to go forward. Many of the leading chances have been scratched, leaving the way open for VULPINE (12). Led and fought on gamely to hold 2nd spot when resuming over 900m at Newcastle last time out. Strips fitter today and should be in the firing line from the word go. REJINSKY (4) has not raced since failing on a bog track on debut in the G3 Pago Pago back in March. Has won two recent trials so looks set for a bright return in this far easier race. MISS DIOR (10) was well supported on debut over 900m at Newcastle but might have found the trip a tad sharp, working home well into 4th. Big chance today over the slightly longer trip in a race of few live hopes. ENAMOUR (9) went okay first up over this course and distance. Likely improver. SELECTIONS: #12 Vulpine to win.
Cairns: Race 6 @ 6:35pm
Good speed anticipated. HE'S BLESSED (1) resumes off a lengthy spell. Now in the hands of Massingham. Placed twelve times from sixteen starts with only the one win. Fresh form is good. Placed in CL3 company. On weights and measures he should smash them but he's incredibly hard to trust. FIRERISE (5) broke the maiden this course/distance a month ago. Given time to get over that. Full of confidence. Must be respected. CLOUT (7) is back to a suitable trip. Tries hard and will look the winner at some stage. GOLDEN CHARLES (2) for the multiples.SELECTIONS: Hoping the right He's Blessed turns up.
