Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on February 4.
Four TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Tuesday at Albury, Gosford, Warrnambool & Townsville.
Gosford: Race 8 @ 5:35pm
Paulo Pace from a wide gate will spear over and take it up. WARFARE (7) caught the eye when resuming over 1000m at this track last start, winding up when the race was all over to finish a close 4th. Improved second up last prep to finish 2nd at Kembla over 1300m then won over this course and distance a run later. This looks an ideal progression. Stablemate DAREDEVIL (8) did his best work late when he just missed a place over 1100m here recently. Very fit after four runs back and a big chance over the slightly longer journey. PLAYARD (2) disappointed at Warwick Farm last start but it was a very strong form race. Can improve back at the provincials. MY EMPIRE (3) has not raced since June 2017. Has plenty of ability but an obvious risk off such a long break - watch the betting. SELECTIONS: Keen on #7 Warfare.

Albury: Race 2 @ 2:10pm
The scratching of Nat Shrap should leave Buddabadah to lead on his own terms. WISEMAN (1) enjoyed a nice run in transit then boxed on well to finish 3rd in a Class 1 over this trip at Wagga last start. Very fit now after four runs back from a spell. Honest gelding who has drawn ideally and is clearly the one to beat dropping back to Maiden company. MUDGEGONGA (2) chased hard but was no match for a dominant winner over this distance at Wangaratta 12 days ago. Genuine mare who won't be far away again. BOUDDI (5) was a real eye-catcher when a close 3rd over the mile at Wagga last time out. Has had plenty of chances and continues to frustrate. Each-way only. BUDDABADAH (6) closed hard but left it a shade too late over this distance at Forbes recently. Still a maiden after 20 runs which is a worry. SELECTIONS: #1 Wiseman to win.
Warrnambool: Race 4 @ 3:00pm
The Trance Factor may be the one to lead. OCEAN DRIVE (9) matched her best missing a nose on resumption. Will be fitter and drawn to advantage should have these covered. ARACHNATTACK (1) found one too good on debut heavily supported. Draws well and will be further improved. LOVE ME NED (8) was okay on debut and gets a low gate and Yendall for the apprentice. Keep very safe. SELECTIONS: # 9 Ocean Drive rates well.
