Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on February 18.

Two TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Tuesday at Muswellbrook & Benalla.   

Benalla: Race 6 @ 4:00pm

Ready By Design and Go Ferrando and two that will race handy. READY BY DESIGN (1) won on debut and then was okay this grade at Moe. In a form yard on a 9 day return and can improve quickly up to the middle distance. BONVILLE (2) needs a good ride but there was a lot to like about the big heavy track this grade at Kyneton. The 3kg claim brings him right into it. AMERICANEER (6) races handy and won comfortably at this level and then was unlucky the same venue. KING JOEY (8) has placed the last three and has claims. It’s been a wile since he won, all the same. BUCHAN HOAKS (3) led and won the Maiden at the mile and has placed this trip. Draws well and he will be in it for a long way. SELECTIONS: Not the easiest program. #1 Ready By Design is an improver in good hands and is at an each way quote.

Muswellbrook: Race 3 @ 2:45pm

Vulpes from a good barrier will press forward. CAPTAIN SOLO (3) parked behind the leading pair then let down impressively only to find one better last time out over 1200m at Gosford. Very fit now and a winning chance back at the provincials. TOGUCHI (14) is a promising filly who is busting to win a race. Quickened nicely to find the lead close to home but was bloused on the line last start over 1312m at Taree. Blinkers on for the first time - ready to win. FONCE FACTOR (11) was a real eye-catcher first up over this course and distance, flashing late to just miss out. In the mix with any natural improvement. FENDER (4) is a first starter with a recent Newcastle trial win to his name. Must be respected if popular in betting. MOINDA (8) is favourite in early markets but looks under the odds. SELECTIONS: #3 Captain Solo to break through.
