A number of TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Sunday at Goulburn, Taree, Ballarat, Sunshine Coast, Pinjarra, Port Lincoln and Launceston. Below are our stand-out plays.

Ballarat: Race 7 @ 4:30pm

There looks to be good early speed in this event. Write Your Name, Scottish Rogue and Gigglon can push forward drawn the inside from Black Sail and Thought Of That out wider. THOUGHT OF THAT (3) resumes here and could measure up to Group One races this preparation. He was too good for eventual Derby winner Warning in the Caulfield Classic prior to having no luck in running in the Derby itself, finishing out the back. A wide barrier shouldn't stop him here and he's the clear top pick. WRITE YOUR NAME (7) went down narrowly behind the talented Conqueror two starts ago before a moderate effort last start. He can bounce back. SCOTTISH ROGUE (4) stuck to his task well first up down the straight and will strip fitter for this race. Respect. HEIR TO THE THRONE (6) has only missed a place once in four first up attempts while BLACK SAIL (2) is better suited over slightly further but still could show up here on the fresh side. SELECTION: #3 Thought Of That has the class.

Goulburn: Race 2 @ 2:00pm

Expecting a solid speed. FOX BEAT (1) was strong to the line when winning at the Sapphire Coast during the carnival. Deserved that based on consistent efforts prior. Will be full of confidence. Appears the testing material with the 3kg claim for Hennessy. HAVADUEL (2) put away a small field by nine lengths last start. Safely held by Fox Beat prior to that but he now has confidence on his side. Should run along again and Cam Noble hits them well for a young apprentice. SHAKE ON IT (3) is hard fit and can sneak into the placings. PROLONGO (9) best of the rest. SELECTION: #1 Fox Beat is hard to fault. Backing to win.

Taree: Race 8 @ 5:25pm

Solid speed to end the program. ENCHANTED HEART (7) is primed to strike. Made good headway in a deep race when third at Newcastle last start. Brings superior form to this contest. She's ready to win and barring bad luck should get the job done. THE MEMORY MAN (1) still has scope for improvement. Failed in a highway at Randwick over 1800m back in October. Greets this fresh without a trial. Keep an eye on the market. Doomben win over the mile was excellent. Should be strong late. HUBBLE (8) has been around the mark all preparation. Looker sticks on after piloting him for a third at Tamworth a month ago. Will have admirers. PHELPEDO (5) for the multiples. SELECTION: Keen on #7 Enchanted Heart.

Pinjarra: Race 6 @ 6:40pm

Casino War from a nice gate should ping straight to the lead. EUROTRIP (4) blew the start and didn't recover when down the track first up over this trip at Ascot. Won convincingly second up over this course and distance last prep. Expect steep improvement. KITGUM (1) has been freshened up since leading and just failing to hang on over 1410m at Bunbury seven weeks ago. Has form at this trip so should run very well. CASINO WAR (6) came off an eight-week break when a desperately close 3rd over 1100m at Ascot recently. Yet to miss a place in six career runs - very appealing prospect to each-way punters. NGAWI (2) can run a big race fresh from an eight-week let-up. SELECTION: #4 Eurotrip to win.

Sunshine Coast: Race 5 @ 4:55pm

Tyrian will go fast and lead comfortably. Chris Waller's FAIRY ME HOME (1) has strung together five minor placings, four on the NSW provincial circuit and most recently at Canterbury over 1900m. Comes here off a 32-day let-up but should hold plenty of residual fitness. Looks a fair bit better than these. TYRIAN (4) was on the speed all the way and toughed it out for a maiden win over 1640m at Toowoomba last start. Probably enjoys an untroubled lead and is in receipt of 6 kgs from the top pick so has to be respected. CLEAR SAILING (7) made steady ground from before the turn to get up for 2nd over this course and distance last time out. Finds it hard to win but worth an each-way ticket. POPULIST (2) finds an easier race today and can bounce back. SELECTION: #1 Fairy Me Home to be too classy.

Port Lincoln: Race 6 @ 4:40pm

At least three or four capable of leading and they will fly along. DEXTER YOU DEVIL (1) brings strong city form at three back won at Morphettville in a BM75. Cahill just has to manage the wide gate for the gelding to be winning. NEVA DOUBT US (3) delivered the hat-trick before racing a bit keen after. The gate is tricky but he can bounce back into the placings. MIRTHDALE (5) won comfortably the latest capping a couple of good placings. He won't be far away. DANCE OF HEROES (7) led and won the 80 well 16 days ago and draws to advantage with a claim. He also deserves consideration. SELECTION: Backing #1 Dexter.
