Cowra: Race 3 @ 3.20pm
A few of these like to roll forward but the pace won't be hectic. STRATUM'S ROSE (3) raced on the speed and held on fairly to finish 4th over 1600m at Goulburn last start. Very fit after four runs back from a break. Beaten just a length in a Bm70 over 1900m at Canberra last prep so she nicely graded today at Bm58 level. Finds a soft race and gets her chance. SMART ATTIRE (9) was in the leading pair to the furlong but wilted to finish midfield over the mile at Dubbo last time out. Has placed 4/5 at our around this trip so can improve. KOPAONIK (2) disappointed at Tumut recently but the form before that was sound. Can bounce back. BROO BOSS (6) won a pretty ordinary race over this trip at Condobolin by 10 lengths last start. In the mix. SELECTION: #3 Stratum's Rose is ready to win.

Magic Desert Moon can lead. MAGIC DESERT MOON (5) runs along and was going well before the latest when out-graded at the Sunshine Coast. She is back after 37 days for the new yard and can win this if presented on-song. READY FOR LOVE (2) presents off a brief campaign and is good fresh. Expect her to be ready and make the finish. PURPLE GREY (7) seeks the hat-trick and keeps improving. Has the speed to manage the wide gate and won't be far away. VAN GAAL (8) resumes and should be in the mix. SELECTION: #5 Magic Desert Moon is suited and can win if she's supported in the late market.
