Eight TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Friday at Dubbo, Newcastle, Cranbourne, Stawell, Sunshine Coast, Albany, Port Lincoln & Darwin.
Newcastle: Race 5 @ 4:10pm
A slick tempo assured as Menagerie and Maccomo lead the charge. Godolphin's ZAKAT (5) is a consistent three-year-old returning for his third campaign. Placed at all three runs last prep including a game 2nd to kick off over 1300m at Warwick Farm. Has been gelded over the break and is trialling well so looks set to go to the next level this time in work. MENAGERIE (7) returns from an eight-month spell with a 4/4 place record to her name. Speedy mare who has trialled three times since 21 January and looked good on each occasion. Ready for a big run. OUR FRAULEIN (9) was there on the bend but tired late to miss a place over 1250m at Canterbury last start. Honest filly who can improve today with the blinkers applied for the first time. ZARZOU (6) next best first up from a long break. SELECTIONS: Very keen on #5 Zakat.

Dubbo: Race 6 @ 4:30pm
Chico and Red Light Dancer will inject a stack of early speed into this contest. HENSCHEL (2) was lining up for just the fourth time when he put a gap on his rivals over 1108m at Bathurst last start. Really savaged the line that day so the slightly longer trip third up from a spell looks perfect. Unproven on heavy ground but the dam is by Snippets which is a strong wet-track bloodline. HIBERN (7) didn't fire in a Class 1 over 1350m at the Beaumont track last time out after scoring a game maiden win at Taree the run before. Talented and can improve back in this easier race. SAINT AY (5) resumes. Better placed over more ground but is capable of filling a hole while fresh. CHICO (1) disappointed last time when lining up for just the second time. Worth another chance today over an extra 200m. SELECTIONS: Load up on #2 Henschel.
