RANDWICK: RACE 8 @ 5:05PM

Very intriguing staying contest with a few promising types set to clash over the 2000m journey. Just an even tempo anticipated. Shared Ambition (8) only went down narrowly first up when not given the best steer by Rawiller. Since been back to the trials and is expected to improve sharply racing second up. JMac takes over and he appears well placed at the weights. Clearly the one to beat. THE CHOSEN ONE (2) wasn't beaten far first up at Otaki and is sure to appreciate the step up in trip (won 2/3). Nash looks a key booking. SUPERNOVA (9) first up comes right into calculations after scratchings. SELECTIONS: Very keen on Shared Ambition.

FLEMINGTON: RACE 3 @ 1:30PM

The Lifeline has the blinkers on first up so thinking he will be looking to get into a forward spot with Western Sun also working forward with the blinkers on. Spend (3) is one of several who gets the blinkers for this assignment. Just fair first up when looking to need the run but improved last time and now finds a thinner race with 1400m tipped to suit. Think he can peak for this and remains a promising horse. KATALIN (6) ran well last time after missing the kick and getting into a tough spot. She was well fancied there off smart wins in NSW prior. RUSSIAN CAMELOT (8) will have his fans. Going to get over more ground but very promising and should run well. VEGAS KNIGHT (4) will be fitter and 1400m can suit. ORIENZEL (10) has nice upside off a dominant fresh win. SELECTIONS: Like Spend third up in the blinkers.

EAGLE FARM: RACE 9 @ 6:30pm

Zouvilla and Red Bloom are contenders for the early lead. Star Of Michelin (2) was a real eye catcher first up when he ran on from near the tail to miss by just a head. Won his only previous second up attempt so expect he will be improved. Looks hard to hold out. DEE DAY DIVA (6) didn't have a lot of room last start so performed well to finish third. Had won her previous two at Sunshine Coast. Must respect. BALLISTIC BOY (3) resumed in the same race and fought on well when fourth. Fitter and is right in this with luck from the wider draw. ZOUVILLA (5) is speedy and has been racing well. Can give a sight. NAVAL STRIKE (1) must be considered off a last-start win at the course and distance. SELECTIONS: Star Of Michelin was an eye catcher first up. Backing to win.

MORPHETTVILLE PARKS: RACE 6 @ 4:16PM (AEDST)

As you could imagine they will hum along. Non Paear (3) might just camp on the leaders and prove too strong late. She loves this journey and her Victorian form has been excellent without winning. The claim just adds to her chances. ITZ INVINCIBLE (1) has only had one run in a very long time. His old form is good and he loves this course. STAR OF MONSOON (2) has to be respected on his current form. He just loves backing up. SONIC DEED (8) can use the gate to be right on the back of the leaders. SELECTIONS: Keen on Non Paear.

ASCOT: RACE 7 @ 7:40PM (AEDST)

Illustrious Tycoon presses forward from a wide gate, Red Can Man can be handy, Speeding Comet and maybe Truth And Lies will be thereabouts. Red Can Man (5) was placed in the WA Guineas before a spell and is yet to run a bad race. Drawn to be pouncing on them late. FRED DAG (3) is another smart customer first-up though he should drift right back in the field. Sure to be charging home. PYM'S ROYALE (1) always runs an honest race and is resuming since the Hannan's where he had excuses. Don't undersell. SPEEDING COMET (2) is always a chance and ILLUSTRIOUS TYCOON (6) could give cheek. SELECTIONS: Red Can Man to win. Quinella 3 & 5.
