Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at TAB meetings for March 16.

Scone: Race 6 @ 5.05pm

War Cat looks most likely to go forward. BILL 'N' TED (2) has been very strong through the line at both runs this prep, each time over five furlongs at Taree. Third up form reads very well and he will appreciate the slight step up in distance today. SOLVENCY (13) started favourite and was a most impressive debut winner over 1000m at Tamworth last time out, spotting the leaders a good start early on but closing hard to win easily. Poorly drawn but can settle back and rattle home again. BANFF (8) is a promising four-year-old resuming from a 262-day spell. Best form over slightly more ground but while fresh from a good gate he makes plenty of appeal. WAR CAT (11) has not appeared since a narrow debut win over this distance at Port Macquarie in September. Has been gelded over the break. Keep him very safe. SELECTION: #2 Bill 'N' Ted a nice each-way bet in a competitive race.

Moruya: Race 5 @ 4:05pm

Your Knuckleship may be the one to run them along given the lack of a definite leader. BRENNAMAN (6) was heavily-backed winning the Maiden on resumption and that's the best recent figure presenting in this contest. Keeps the in-form McDougall and can keep improving. The Dryden yard is also flying and the gelding will be tough to roll. ROSEBANK (3) had big support winning the CL1 by 4L also at the Sapphire Coast following the Albury near miss. Gets the rail and will be right in the finish. TRIBBIANI (5) has the ability but has to manage a 550m dip in distance off a 30 day freshen. In good hands is worth keeping onside. CHAIRMAN'S CHOICE (2) gets back but comes to peak and didn't miss by far here first-up. The second Dryden runner YOUR KNUCKLESHIP (10) gets Penza for the apprentice and an improved effort from him wouldn't surprise. SELECTION: A good contest and backing #6 Brennaman on an each way basis.
