Seven TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Friday at Albury, Port Macquarie, Swan Hill, Moonee Valley (night), Sunshine Coast, Townsville & Geraldton.
Moonee Valley: Race 6 @ 4:30pm
Pippie should fly across and get the front. Bivouac and Loving Gaby will want to be on their toes early to get into good spots. BIVOUAC (9) was awesome winning the Newmarket and there is little doubt that he is the horse to beat based on that. He was flying when he came here for the Manikato in the spring only to draw barrier one and get caught up in traffic. Will want to bounce early to avoid the same fate but clearly hard to beat if he does. LOVING GABY (11) was no match for him in the Newmarket but she took advantage of his hard luck around here in the spring and she's drawn to get a similar run this time. Must be a great chance. EXCEEDANCE (10) was well backed in the Newmarket but was never likely. More pressure up front this time and if they are making ground he's a threat. The talent is there. GYTRASH (3) is flying and looks sure to run well again. Interesting runner is MYSTIC JOURNEY (6) back from a break. She likely needs this one at 1200m but betting can tell us more. Would be wary of her if fancied. SELECTIONS: Loving Gaby could be the betting angle with the draw setting her up well.

Albury: Race 7 @ 4:55pm
Mercurial Lad and Fun Fact to run the Cup field along at a solid clip. FUN FACT (2) led and gave a great sight but couldn't hold off a potential top-liner in Mugatoo over this distance in the Canberra Cup last start. Takes a bit of a hike in the weights but won't meet the same calibre of opposition this time. The one to beat. MORTON'S FORK (1) is back from a lacklustre trip to Tassie where he was underwhelming in both major Cup races over 2400m. Back to his preferred trip today so worth another chance. PUMPKIN PIE (10) disappointed over 1900m at Rosehill last time out. On trial at this distance but at the weights she is worth the gamble. ATTORNEY (8) should be ready to find some form now after two runs back from a spell. SELECTIONS: #2 Fun Fact has the class to win with 58 kgs.
Sunshine Coast: Race 1 @ 5:05pm
No obvious leader in the opener. Mammoth friday night card at the Sunny Coast with eleven races set for decision. THRASHER (9) should take beating. Not sighted since finishing fourth to subsequent MM winner Away Game in the Calaway Gal. This is a significant drop in grade. Fetched $430,000 as a yearling and with the blinkers on she's a terrific each-way bet at current odds. MY BOY SOOTY (2) was down the track behind Rothfire on debut. Given plenty of time by the stable. Recent trial was swift. Expect a better performance. DEJANOVA (7) was solid here on debut. 1200m suits and she'll be better for the experience. Keep safe. SELECTIONS: Keen on Thrasher at the odds.
Port Macquarie: Race 7 @ 5:15pm
Music Box Dancer will probably lead at an even clip. MEYER (8) parked just off the pace then let down nicely to win with a bit in hand last start over 1400m at Tamworth. Won third up last prep so fair to assume there is further improvement to come. JUST SIZZLING (11) got a long way back before making late inroads to be beaten just 2 lengths over 1300m at Taree last time out. Like him on the quick turnaround but his poor record at this circuit is a niggling concern. LUCKY FOR SOME (10) tried hard but didn't threaten when 4th over the mile at Grafton recently. Best form comes at this track and distance so he is a live chance down in the weights. MUSIC BOX DANCER (4) has won 3/5 in a limited career. Fitter today and can improve sharply. SELECTIONS: #8 Meyer is pretty smart and can win again.
