Ballarat: Race 5 @ 4:00pm
It's not clear-cut who will make the pace. TOORADIN (5) missed a lip on debut in town and then won after that at Pakenham. In a top yard and the mile looks right up his sleeve. He can immediately take the next step. ATAME (9) will be better for the two runs back and has more to give. She can be in the finish. DALMATIA (7) needed it resuming in town and was just warming up late. The rise to the mile suits her and she can make quick improvement. BROTHER IN ARMS (2) was tracking well before the latest in a better contest. Needs a good ride he could get up without surprising. SELECTION: #5 Tooradin is promising and looks the one in a good contest.

Kilcoy: Race 5 @ 4:14pm (AEDT)
Speed right across the barriers with a number capable of leading. A good race. WRITE THE RULES (8) and is a promising filly resuming and led and won easily at Toowoomba four back on debut. Ran strong figures after and will be improved and very hard to beat. ARNWOOD (1) won by a space resuming and then was just nudged out at Toowoomba in stronger than this. Peaks now and has the speed to manage the tricky gate. He's go upside and is feared. WHITTINGTON WAYS (7) matched his best resuming and can build on that. Draws handy and is a serious player. AHEADOFHISTIME (3) missed the hat-trick at Doomben, but the win here prior was big, as was the one before. Peaks and a chance to bounce. SELECTION: #8 Write The Rules the bet if the market reflects stable confidence.
Muswellbrook: Race 7 @ 4:45pm
Speed everywhere you look. MAHALANGUR (5) was a late withdrawal from the Tamworth heat but his BM has seen him gain a spot in a very competitive Wild Card. He's having his first start for the Cody Morgan yard (Ex Hawkes). Has the scalp of subsequent Epsom placegetter Star Of The Seas and was two lengths off Everest star Trekking. He's been group competitive at his peak and despite this being a very good race, he should be a shade too classy. James McDonald makes the trek for his only ride of the day. BOBBING (1) was second favourite in the G2 Villiers last start but he disappointed. Wants it further than the 1280m but he's tuned up off three trials and should be rocketing home. TWO BIG FARI (7) has burst on the scene. He was a maiden eight months ago. Overcome a wide passage to win at the midweeks at Warwick Farm last start. He's bombproof and highly untapped. Will look the winner at some stage. SELECTION: Mahalangur in a terrific wildcard.
Bunbury: Race 5 @ 6:50pm (AEDT)
It's not clear cut who runs them along. EURASIA (3) brings very strong form from Ascot placing three times since the win the same venue. Harvey will have him placed handy and he's certainly the one to beat. HENTY GAL (4) peaks now and was better at Pinjarra. Will race close up and should make the finish. WESTERN KING (5) resumes for a leading yard with 2x winning rider Pike engaged. Has trialled twice with the leading hoop on and that suggest he will be improved and ready to go. ZACKARIAH BEAU (2) deserved the win here two weeks ago and deserves consideration despite the wide gate. SELECTION: #3 Eurasia can go one better.
