Sale: Race 8 @ 5:00pm

Early pace across the barriers and a number capable of leading the large field. MISS LADYBIRD (15) is promising and lead and won the 64 easily in town third-up. Draws to advantage and is clearly the one they have to beat. ACCOUNTABILITY (17) is a lightly raced import resuming for the Waller yard. Draws out but looks to have good ability and keep very safe. TIGGER (1) gets the rail and is a candidate to lead. Rates well off the latest and is a definite player. TALENTI (3) was wide the latest but was good at Flemington prior in much stronger than this and is a contender with a well managed wide. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Miss Ladybird.

Nowra: Race 5 @ 3:30pm

Plenty of pacesetters. NOWYUNOMI (2) fought off the canvas when defeating three rivals at Hawkesbury first-up. Deserved that based on what he did last preparation. Confidence at a high and he can take the next step. Blinkers back on should sharpen him up. MYSTERY TRICK (3) will provide some company on the speed. Too bad to be true last start at Newcastle. Inside alley helps and he can improve sharply. DEVIL DAN (1) raced like a flat horse second-up. Defied the challengers winning at provincial grade prior to that. Clearly good enough. Can bounce back. STILLER (14) best of the remainder. SUGGESTED PLAY: Nowyunomi for the win.

Sunshine Coast Race 8 @ 4:10pm

It's not clear-cut how they settle but the larger field will run along. DON'T DESPAIR (4) won the Maiden easily here resuming much improved heavily-backed. That's the best last start figure presenting here and he gets the chance to repeat. FA FA (3) was plain the latest in stronger, but was tracking well prior and expect him to have the speed to get across from the outside gate. LONDON FAME (5) also draws out but expect him to come back improved and he shouldn't be far away. SPLENDARAMA (12) comes to peak with the blinkers applied and may be best of the rest. SELECTION: Big field and a tough program. #4 Don't Despair can go on with it.

Hamilton Race 5 @ 4:10pm

Champagne Friday and Prize Lad may be the pair to run them along. CHAMPAGNE FRIDAY (5) just missed resuming at Sale and then ran favourite and then was beaten 1.3L at Warrnambool. He's ready to win for the leading yard and John Allen will use the rail. INDIANA STAR (8) has been knocking on the door and got close the latest as favourite. The claimer will push forward and should give him his chance. PRIZE LAD (12) was tracking well before the latest and won't be far away on the bounce and luck from the tricky draw. EASY SHERIFF (6) may be best of the rest. SELECTION: #5 Champagne Friday makes strong appeal.

Bordertown Race 6 @ 3:50pm

A number race handy and are capable of leading. IN THE FAST LANE (3) disappointed in town the latest but the win and near misses prior read very well for this. He is fast and is a candidate to lead the race from the rail. He's clearly the one to beat. MR RANGER (5) won and placed at Kingscote the last two as favourite and they stack up. Has had a 36 day freshen and will use the low gate. FAY'S JOY (7) won this grade at the provincials against her own sex and then was just okay at The Bridge after. Can clear the wide gate okay and is a chance on the bounce back to country grade. AL MA BELLE (6) has a similar profile and may be next best. SELECTION: #3 In The Fast Lane looks well-suited.
