Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on April 3.
Four TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Friday at Tamworth, Cranbourne, Gold Coast & Canberra.
Cranbourne: Race 4 @ 7:00pm
Billie De Lune showed pace on debut and can lead from Vision Red crossing from a wide gate. VISION RED (7) took over inside the furlong and looked set to salute on debut but was collared right near the line over this distance at Sale last start. Promising gelding who can go one better this evening with a bit of natural improvement. BILLIE DE LUNE (10) started deep in the red but after showing pace tired out of the contest at the end of 1300m at Warrnambool last time out. Kept fresh and back a little in trip poses a serious threat. OSTARA (11) worked home well into a distant 3rd over 1000m at this circuit recently. Likely improver with the blinkers on for the first time. PROMPT REPLY (6) has been just off the placings at both runs this prep - sure to be thereabouts again. SELECTIONS: Keen on #7 Vision Red.

Gold Coast: Race 4 @ 1.22pm (AEDT)
LONGBOTTOM (7) ran fourth last start at Randwick Kensington over 1150m when beaten 2.8 lengths. Top chance on the back of what looks a great piece of form for a race like this. MASLOW (4) resumes and has to be considered if the good form from last campaign emerges here. MARMARIS (3) should be poised to run a big race first up from a spell following two recent trials - must be respected. BEAU ARROW (1) is one for consideration. SELECTIONS: #7 Longbottom has the form to beat these.
Tamworth: Race 9 @ 5:35pm
Knock Toff and Expellable will inject plenty of early speed into this contest. TYPHOON BONNY (6) loomed up to win at the furlong but peaked late and settled for 3rd over this distance at Port Macquarie last time out when second up from a break. Always about the money in this sort of race. Has a win and a placing from three third up runs so should be ready to find her best. KNOCK TOFF (1) worked hard to find the lead only to capitulate late and finish midfield over 1100m at Narromine last start. The winner of 2/3 at today's trip and with added fitness third up he will prove very tough to catch. DUBAI HARBOUR (7) closed well to grab 2nd when resuming over this distance at Muswellbrook recently. Drawn awkwardly but a very reliable sprinter who will be thereabouts. EXPELLABLE (9) has good fresh form and can fire first up from a ten-week break. SELECTIONS: Keen on #6 Typhoon Bonny on an each-way basis at very generous odds.
