Eight TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Sunday at Pakenham, Wagga, Armidale, Terang, Ipswich, Bundaberg, Geraldton and Gawler.

Terang: Race 8 @ 4:35pm

Too Close The Sun can lead at an even clip from Sasko. Woodsman and Ghodeleine could be prominent. Great edition of the Cup. THE BLACK LEOPARD (5) impressed last start when winning third up. He covered ground in transit but ran away from talented horses Declares War and War Tiger at the finish. He can race handy from a good draw and can go on with it here. TOO CLOSE THE SUN (3) has built his form nicely this preparation winning two from his last four. He demolished his rivals last start and could be suited out in front on this track. He's a big threat. FANCIFUL TOFF (6) looks ready to peak third up with the Blinkers going on. He'll appreciate a firmer surface and this distance range is ideal. Consider.
LYCURGUS (2) can be hard to catch but he just missed last time out behind the in form Salsamor and he's a must include. TOP OF THE RANGE (1) is a Group class Stayer but has a crushing weight and a wide draw to contend with. This is a likely stepping stone to a possible Warrnambool Cup tilt in a few weeks time. SELECTIONS: Follow up on #5 The Black Leopard.

Wagga: Race 8 @ 5:10pm

Good speed engaged. MISS SCORCHER (9) goes on top. She's a good mare when right and such is her class, she jumped favourite at Newcastle in a heat of the Provincial Championships last start. Back in trip is key. She's at her best when she pings the lids and finds the fence. Key rider booked and she's the one to beat. Working around SPUNLAGO (1) with that weight. 63kg even after the claim is huge. His win in the Albury Cup was tough. No denying his class. SHERIFF (2) resumes off a lazy nine length trial win. Terrific last preparation in much better races. Tricky alley but has a terrific affinity with Brock Ryan. CASH CRISIS (5) is a noted fresh performer. Query at the distance, especially in this class. Prefer on the place line. SELECTIONS: #9 Miss Scorcher gets the nod.

Pakenham: Race 3 @ 12:50pm

NORTHERN VOYAGE (6) won two hurdle trials and then led and then found one too good heavily-backed. This trip at Warnambool. Runs alsong and will take beating with that under the belt. GOBSTOPPER (3) won the hurdle in dominant fashion and then was kept up to the mark with a flat run at Bendigo. He runs along and looks a genuine hope with the handy claim. ANCIENT KING (2) Presents off two flat runs and two trial hurdle wins. Gets the claim and he can be right in it. MR ONE ELEVEN (5) brings solid flat form and is worth a look. SELECTIONS: Keen to be with #6 Northern Voyage.

Ipswich: Race 9 @ 4:05pm

Solid tempo anticipated. BEATSME (7) couldn't have been more impressive fresh when a 3.25 lengths winner over 1050m at Beaudesert. Can only be further improved and can make it back to back wins. LONGBOTTOM (2) finished among the placings last start running second at Gold Coast over 1100m. Is going well this campaign, recording a win and three places from eight starts. Expected to feature. DESERT KNIGHT (4) resumes today after placing at his last run at Gold Coast starting at $17.00. Change of rider to Luke Dittman who has two wins aboard. Has claims if runs up to his mark. REAL CUTE (3) generally goes well here with a win and two places from six tries. Capable of going close on best figures. SELECTIONS: Keen on #7 Beatsme

Gawler: Race 2 @ 2:20pm

INDISCRETION (8) just missed as favourite at Murray Bridge running on strongly from the back as favourite. Is still to reach his peaks and will be hard to beat with a good ride. FOUR OF A KIND (7) is a Stokes stablemate resuming off a city trial win. Holder sticks from that but also has to manage a wide gate. Can improve quickly off the handy initial campaign. TULLYS GOLD (5) debuts and looked sharp in the recent trial. Gets the rail and expect a bold run. LIKE A HEARTBEAT (4) debuts and went okay in the same trial. The claimer has to manage the wide gate with him. SELECTIONS: Backing #8 Indiscretion
