Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on April 29.
Five TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Wednesday at Warwick Farm, Sandown, Sunshine Coast, Ascot & Balaklava.
Sandown: Race 5 @ 2:45pm
Ameliaranne and Imsouane may make the speed. EXCUSED (3) is a promising Group and Listed performer who will be better for the two runs back in stronger and had excuses. Gets the handy claim and rates to win at this level. The lightly-raced filly is ready to fire. MISS LEILA (13) has won and just missed both race-runs as favourite, and is an improver who won’t be far away. SEALED (8) hasn’t reached her peaks this preparation, but was much better the latest missing a lip at Cranbourne. The 3kg claim is handy and draws closer with the scratchings. SHAHZADE (11) did her best work late resuming for the new yard (Freedman) and also draws in closer. Gets Zahra and expect sharp improvement. SELECTIONS: #3 Excused is suited.

Warwick Farm: Race 5 @ 3:10pm
Cajetan to ensure this is a true staying test. UK import HARPO MARX (3) has impressed at both Australian runs, finding the line with purpose on each occasion. Chased hard but ran out of ground when 3rd over 1900m at Canterbury seven days ago. Won over 2515m at Tipperary last prep so will relish getting out to this trip. WILD IMPACT (8) took over before the corner and really gapped her rivals over 2000m at Kembla last time out. Tougher task this time but is a promising mare bred to stay. RE EDIT (1) ran a better race last start when third up from a spell, beaten just over 2 lengths over 2130m at this track. Dour mare who will be ready to peak. SCICONIC (9) was dominant at Nowra recently over 2200m. Whole new ball game today but his best figures measure up so don't be surprised if he runs well again. SELECTIONS: Backing #1 Harpo Marx with confidence.
Sunshine Coast: Race 8 @ 4:05pm
Voulait can lead and there will be a number sitting close-up. TOTALLY CHARMED (7) hasn’t won or started for a long while, but is a well-performed I Am Invincible galloper well up to this. The two sharp trials suggest he will be ready to go and is a serious chance if he is and despite the wide draw. JAGGED EDGE (3) has been knocking on the door in stronger in town and they stack right up. He has the speed to clear the tricky gate and looks a decent chance. VOULAIT (1) led and was okay first-up on better company and has plenty to give. Goes well second-up and looks a hope at odds controlling the race. FUSSDINADO (5) brings strong NSW form to peak and a win wouldn’t surprise. SELECTIONS: #7 Totally Charmed looks a bet at the each way quote.
