Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on April 30.
Five TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Thursday at Wagga, Wyong, Pakenham, Cairns & Geraldton.
Wagga: Race 7 @ 4:20pm
Speed from inside to out. SOUTHERN LAD (3) goes on top. He's tuned up to run a bottler if his two recent trials are any indication. His 1200m form in town last preparation was divine. The predicted downpour of rain will only enhance his chances. Lands in the box seat and should be given every hope. MISS SCORCHER (9) is elevated in the selections with a few scratchings. Gave them a thrashing in the Prelude. She's an underrated mare. Winning chances take a hit from the wide alley but she'll have plenty of admirers. ASHLOR (2) is a big hope. He's won twelve races. Caulfield efforts his past two have been superb. Big horse who has no troubles carrying weight. McDougall now aboard and by this part of the day drawing off could be beneficial. MOUNT HOREB (7) is a real winner. Kept fresh since saluting in the Albury sprint feature 42 days ago. Each way claims. SELECTIONS: Going with Southern Lad.

Wyong: Race 6 @ 4:05pm
SALLY'S DAY (9) finished last campaign with a close third over 1100m at Hawkesbury and returns from a six month break. Won fresh last campaign and should be ready to go again after a trial win. Rates among the leading chances. MOCCASIN MISS (8) didn't have a lot of room to work with last start but missed by just a nose two back. Has yet to miss a place at this course. Go well. KEY TO GLORY (2) resumes and has won well fresh before while SAUSALITO (10) can also be in the finish. SELECTIONS: Trial winner #9 Sally's Day to score fresh again.
Sunshine Coast: Race 8 @ 4:05pm
Voulait can lead and there will be a number sitting close-up. TOTALLY CHARMED (7) hasn’t won or started for a long while, but is a well-performed I Am Invincible galloper well up to this. The two sharp trials suggest he will be ready to go and is a serious chance if he is and despite the wide draw. JAGGED EDGE (3) has been knocking on the door in stronger in town and they stack right up. He has the speed to clear the tricky gate and looks a decent chance. VOULAIT (1) led and was okay first-up on better company and has plenty to give. Goes well second-up and looks a hope at odds controlling the race. FUSSDINADO (5) brings strong NSW form to peak and a win wouldn’t surprise. SELECTIONS: #7 Totally Charmed looks a bet at the each way quote.
