Warrnambool: Race 5 @ 2.10pm
Good early pace from Whittington Stone. SOPHIA'S CHOICE (3) ran her usual honest race last start, battling on gamely to finish a close 3rd over 1300m at Sandown despite racing three-wide without cover on the speed. Very fit now after four runs back from a spell and looks ready to win. GOLDEN GORGE (1) was coming off a six-week let-up when a game all-the-way winner over this distance at Sandown last time out. Well drawn and Williams sticks - sure to be prominent for a long way again. STAND TO ATTENTION (2) settled a long way back in a big field and couldn't get involved recently in a strong race at Caulfield. Back in grade today and will be charging home late. EVENING GLORY (8) caught the eye at Bendigo last start when second up. Ready to peak this afternoon. SELECTION: The consistent #3 Sophia's Choice is an each-way special in an open betting race.

Canterbury: Race 5 @ 3.10pm
BEACH BABY (2) really dug deep when winning by 1.5 lengths three runs back at Goulburn before placing his last two starts. Gets the advantage of a good draw today. Record at this journey is sound with two wins from five runs. On pacer and a win chance with a senior rider up. REFORMIST (4) was a fresh up impressive winner by 0.8 lengths over 1200m at Kembla Grange. Senior rider on today and can score again. JAZETTE (11) showed good speed over 1200m at this track last time, winning by a head. Goes well at this journey including two wins from six starts and looks one of the likely contenders. STARSPANGLED RODEO (1) resumes today for a new yard. Double trial winner. Never out of the money in this state. SELECTION: #2 Beach Baby for the win.
Canberra: Race 7 @ 4:34pm
A few can race handy and are capable of pushing on to make a moderate speed. TEMOIN CHAUD (8) is in the top local yard and made a ratings spike winning the Maiden at Orange at her second start. That stacks right up for this and the extra trip will suit the filly. Gets the blinkers first time and McDougall sticking is a plus. She looks well-capable of taking the next step. MOWANJUM (5) resumes and is city trained. The filly has very strong figures at the mile and it would be no surprise if she's presented forward this time around. She's trialled in town and drawn to advantage keep very safe. SAILING ALONG (9) won the Nowra Maiden by 4L with McDougall up and then was very plain behind Rosebank at Goulburn. Has to be a chance forgetting that with the 3kg claim. The scratchings bring her in closer. CASINO TIME (11) is deep in the preparation, but comes back in trip off a brief freshen and the yard knows how to spring a surprise. SELECTION: #8 Temoid Chaud is in good hands and can go on with it.
Murray Bridge: Race 7 @ 4:45pm
Early pace across the barriers with Igitur and With Pleasure candidates to lead. WITH PLEASURE (7) has won the last three heavily-backed and made another ratings spike winning the latest by 6.3L in the BM58. Keeps the 3kg claim for Collett and she will make short work of the tricky gate. The mare clearly rates to win again. PUTTING ON AIRS (9) is also promising and was back to her best winning by 3.3L at this level. Draws well and is a chance if the above falters. BOSSY BRITCHES (12) has been knocking on the door in the south east. Comes to peak now, but is likely to find the two above a bit of a handful. EXALTED RUTH (3) was plain at Listed level the latest, but was good placing the one before and is in the mix. SELECTION: #7 With Pleasure can keep things rolling.
