Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on May 21.
Six TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Thursday at Hawkesbury, Wagga, Pakenham, Seymour, Townsville & Belmont.
Hawkesbury: Race 6 @ 3:25pm
Good battle for the early lead. SNITZIFY (3) is yet to run poorly in his brief career. Beaten a narrow margin in a similar contest at Kembla Grange a fortnight ago. Plenty in his favour and third-up the timing is right. AVION FURY (5) stuck his nose out to win at Newcastle last start. Winning form warrants respect but he takes on some nicer types. PRINCE OF ARRAGON (4) for the multiples. SELECTIONS: Snitzify is well backed in early morning betting and rightly so. Happy to jump on that train.

Wagga: Race 2 @ 12:40pm
Will run along at a solid clip. AVACHATNOW (6) was immediately spelled following her third here on debut in January. She strikes a weak maiden to kick off in. Drawn for a nice run throughout and can prove too smart for these first-up. SUPALUX (4) has had fourteen tries at winning one. Jumped favourite at Leeton last start but couldn't reel in the leader Chap's Dream. First go on the Riverside for him and if the best version of himself turned up he'd go close. STARLIV (9) was third here when last sighted. She had to make a sustained run around them but was solid in debut. First-up off no trial but respecting Matt Dale. THUWAANY (10) best of the rest. SELECTIONS: Avachatnow gets the nod.
Seymour: Race 6 @ 3:00pm
This looks like a low-pressure race without a recognised leader and very few on-pacers lining up. GRAND DE FLORA (3) is a Kiwi expat returning from a four-month spell and having her first run for Danny O'Brien. Only raced three times in the maiden campaign, with a win on debut the highlight. Last appeared when down the track in a G3. Talented filly who could easily prove too classy for these. WHITEMORE (4) went close two back at Kilmore then struggled at Echuca last time over this trip, beaten a fair way into 4th. Generally a reliable conveyance over seven furlongs so worth another chance. LORD MAPPERLEY (6) couldn't go with them early but rallied late to get up for 4th over 1200m at Cranbourne recently. Ready to peak third up as he gets to a more suitable journey. PORT TRIANO (11) is racing in great form across the border including a fast-finishing 2nd over 1300m at Wagga last time. Capable of winning. SELECTIONS: The promising #3 Grand De Flora is ready to win at her Australian debut.
