Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at TAB meetings for May 25.
Taree: Race 6 @ 3.40pm
Miss Devinci and Tobasco will push forward from wide gates. MISS DEVINCI (7) has been freshened up since a moderate 4th in a Bm66 over this course and distance four weeks ago. Won at this level two runs back over 1000m at Queanbeyan on a soft track which is a better pointer to her chances. Distance specialist who is ready to win again. JUST SIZZLING (8) made it three minor placings from his last four runs when he worked home strongly into 3rd over this course and distance last time out in a Class 3. Doesn't win out of turn but will be closing hard and does pose a threat in this grade. TOBASCO (13) led but dropped right out over this trip at Port Macquarie recently. Kept fresh and his third up form reads well - worth another chance. Rising five-year-old CHOSEN MONARCH (3) returns from an 18-week spell and lines up for just the third time. Went well in a recent Gosford trial so keep him in mind. SELECTION: #7 Miss Devinci the one to beat.

Echuca: Race 7 @ 3.30pm
HEDLEY'S LADY (9) showed good early speed and led throughout to score an effortless 7 lengths win over 1400m at Casterton last time when clearing maidens fresh up. The rise in grade does not look beyond her at all. KING KABUTO (2) showed good early speed from the inside draw last time and stalked the pace, finishing in the placings over 1400m at this track. Honest record at this distance including three wins from eleven runs. APPLE BAY (8) is a class riser and drawn wide but can still play a role at the finish. SKILLED ARTIST (7) is better drawn today. Stablemate in this more preferred but this filly is not without some chance. OUR AUGUST ROSE (11) will find this easier here. Can bounce back. May well pay overs. SELECTION: #9 Hedley's Lady for the win.
Albury: Race 6 @ 3:55pm
MILAMOO (4) settled at the tail of the field then let down impressively to get up for 2nd over 1400m at Wagga last start. Very fit mare who drops 3.5 kgs with the claim on that last run. Ready to break back into the winner's circle. MOSS THE BOSS (1) led into the straight then fought back once headed only to miss by half a length over 1400m at Wagga last time out. Hasn't won for a long while but will be peaking after three runs back and can break the drought, particularly with McDougall taking over. TYCOON DREAMING (6) struggled at Wagga most recently when on a 72-hour back-up. Saves his best for Albury so can bounce back without surprising. IVY'S BELLE (5) finally broke her maiden last start over 1400m at this circuit. Big step up today but could fill a minor placing. SELECTION: Confident #4 Milamoo can take this out.
